Did ya'll expect him to stay young and in prime form his entire career? Don't forget how many injuries the guy has also had. That will ruin you

He's 32 now so he's officially in decline and has been since before the WC in 2010 (that fabulous goal nonwithstanding). Nothing to see here. He will do his job at Roma, but I'm not at all holding my breath for Mourinho or even Mancini's Maicon. Our defense is rarely known to be solid so I expect him to get exposed quite a few times. How he handles that will be telling.

IMO Maicon can do OK at Roma as long as he avoids Bale and Bale-esque players. However he'll never be the same after...well, you know Rolling Eyes

Im sure thats incorrect, there have been lots of Brazilians who were still on a top level 28, 30 and above. Its not like Brazilians age faster etc Very Happy
