Since when did Cavani reject Chelsea? We just refused to pay an obscene amount of money for him. The only player that's rejected us in recent times was Neymar when he was 18.

Javi Martinez is actually pretty decent at distributing the ball and could be Pep's Busquets at DM. So he should think twice before moving him to CB.

Also would Schweinsteiger be able to play DM on his own?

Everyone knows Pep sees Martinez as a CB ffs. Thiago is a plamaker in the mould that none of the Bayern players are. He is the only CM that can operate in really crowded area, obviously not on Xavi on Iniesta levels. He is a far bigger pressure reliever than any of their cms

Jibers is right although I think Muller may start in front of Robben like he did last year till Kroos injury.

The signs of 4-3-3, Martinez to CB and Gotze to False 9 are as blatant as Bale's love for Cristiano's free kick stance.

Buying a CB instead of trying to buy Javi to play CB would have made sense but Pep still tried to do it.
