I too wonder when did Barcelona made an inquiry for Honda. And if they did, Honda probably rather play football than watch other people play football on rather comfortable looking bench...

Sounds like some nonsense Barca went after them or that he turned them down. All that sounds completely made up

So its nonsense because Honda turned down Barca ? Ok........

Even Mirallas turned down Arsenal but it was for completely different and understandable reasons.Honda more or less the same.He will be a starter at Milan which wouldnt be the case at Barca.

The validity of the rumour is very questionable but they are footballers who would reject Barcelona. They would be well paid but they would also hardly see much playing time.

No, I think its nonsense that Barca even reached out to him in the first place. I wouldn't blame him or any midfielder for turning us down, thats not what I am getting at.

This is what Bronzetti who is an intermediatory in this deal said :

There is very little distance between the offer and the request- explains Bronzetti to Sky Sport- it will be up to the player to decide. This evening after the match (at 6pm local time against Krylia Sovetov, Samara’s team) he will talk to the president to tell him he wants to leave immediately. They would like to keep him for Champions League, but the player only wants Milan, he even turned down Barcelona”

Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.VII - Page 42 Empty Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.VII

Post by sportsczy Mon Jul 22, 2013 2:23 pm

Rosell is an absolute idiot.  It took 25 years for Barca to build the foundations of a certain type of football and to train managers to implement it.  Pep was the first of those managers and you also had Tito, Enrique and many other Spanish managers trained in it.  Tata is a Bielsa guy... it may look the same.  But the methodology is different and it's a far more direct brand of tiki taka.

Nobody had caught up to Barca.  There was no reason to change.  But Rosell was completely incompetent in addressing the needs of the club (academy can't provide 100% of everything).  So age and disastrous transfers caught up to Barca. Still... it didn't require a change in philosophy at this point.

This is a high risk/high reward gamble here.  It could also be a disaster.

Sort of why it pleases me, Pardew's football can actually work with someone like that.

Although it will be awful to watch Laughing

Meh if I was in your boat i'd take awful football temporarily to get decent results rather than doing a Blackpool

Hopefully Pardew will realise the hoofing monster he has created and resign immediately to save his soul. Then you can think about attractive football again.

Better than hoofing it to Gouffran, which was retarded. The guy is the same height as Xavi Laughing

That was a lot better tbh at least i had a club i can identify myself with then.

Now its being thrown in the gutter and Joe Kinnear is shitting the remains down the toilet.

I'm more interested what other clubs are doing tbh Laughing

over 100M/year

Laughing

You'd think they could maybe get past the group stages, let alone finish rock bottom

Inb410pointsingroupofdeath

Bayern had already locked up 1st place, and played 10 subs against City. Had the scheduling not beein in Citys favout, Napoli would've had a free 3 points from Bayern and City would've finished with 7 points

Fast forward a year, can't even beat Ajax.
