How were the club to know there wouldn't be a bid for Cech from PSG/Real/etc. in the last 2 or 3 days of the window and he'd be gone?

I understand fully why he didn't go on loan this summer, but I think a 6 month (to Jan) emergency loan to Fullham would have been fine.

But if we could get him off our books until Jan, while Cech and Courtois remain, I don't see why we wouldn't.

From Jan, Fullham could have made moves for a new GK anyway.

Its a pretty solid indication that we may be signing someone. If salah also leaves it will free up 2 spots for foreign players. Rues and Hummels hmm
