Besides all this summers signings have been made by Zidane and not Carlo. Isco, Illaramendi and Jese all wanted by Zidane

if it were up to Carlo we would be going for DeRossi or somebody like that

And there could be good chance the Sporting director and Carlo would be sharing responsibilities too in terms of identifying the transfer targets.It does not always have to be Zidane's choice ,there could be a good case he would've asked Carlo about possible transfer targets which they could sign.

We don't have a sporting director... Valdano was the last to hold the position.

It doesn't make that much sense, based on the fact the fact that if we were in for Balo, I would have expected the club to be courting him for a lot longer than the day Carlo arrived. We were anticipating Carlo's arrival and i'm sure he had a list of targets he would like us to pursue for him before he arrrived.

This Balo one, just doesn't make much sense.

Benzema and Morata wouldn't be good enough. We should get an experienced striker like Milito, Pizarro etc if they're willing to be backup. So the strikers would be Benzema, experienced striker and Morata.

I doubt Carlo knew who Isco or Illaramendi were before we signed them but I am sure he gave a thumbs up to both of them

i know we can't rely on Benzema to take the leading role but I think they have chosen Ronaldo to play there in emergency if needed. Zidane is the assistant coach fyi

btw we are not billionaires we have to balance the books and the number of players on our squad. we have just spent 60mill on both Illaramendi and Isco and have a squad of 28 players. The preseason starts on Monday next week so we are looking to finish business by then. if we really needed a striker we could have gotten Negrito or Gomez for cheap who teams are bidding for atm but we aren't why?? because we are not after a striker

Zidane was sporting director but quit last year, now he's an assistant.

I'm a very pessimistic person but I have hope for Morata. Jese....not so much. You watch Morata play - he has things that Benz doesn't, he has things we're missing and could definitely use. If we don't buy a striker - he's gonna get time this year and he's going to have a chance to make an impact.

I don't see anyone being an all world striker at this club in the near future, it's too difficult. But we still need a striker occasionally and Morata can fill that role.

He's like a mix between Toquero and Morientes

Balotelli wouldn't really make sense since 2 WC strikers doesn't work. Didn't really work out with Benzema and Higuain. There should be 1 main striker (Benzema) and a backup type striker and Morata.

Zidane is an assistant.

We needed a replacement because of 3 factors:
1. No trusting Benzema
2. Morata's youth.
3. CR7's reluctance to play up top.

The lack of movement in the window by us for a striker leads me to believe that they are trying to convince CR7 to play up top in cases of emergency. Will it work out? I don't know, but we haven't made any real push for a striker so far.

And I never said it was a fact, I just said that a rumor that just appeared out of thin air doesn't make much sense.

At least show alittle bit of respect to your club especially if you are as successful as them(bayern in this case) lately meaning its not due to lack of ambition. And Bayern should stop snooping around Dortmund for their players by giving them more money

Sorry, but very reliable sources everywhere (Germany and Spain) + now Di Marzio who doesn't bs, have all said that we had an agreement with Dortmund but Lewa was dead set on Bayern.

And yes he did make those comments on Madrid because i listened to him make them a the time lol.

I mean it's up to you guys to play it like a stork... but it is what it is.

Also, the same sources reported that Dortmund asked Madrid to wait until next summer for Gundogan.

Regarding, zidane.... lol at the blind Benz hate and lol at thinking benz had anything to do with Zidane's hiring.  Carlo is in charge of the first team, transfers and all.  But really, Zidane is the one who handles the transfers and the technical training of the players.  The other assistant (Clement i think) handles the tactical aspects.

Spurs are one of the worst team to negotiate with if we really wanted don't you think we would have started with that very early and bought Kondogbia instead of Illaramendi to try and get the funds for the big transfer??

just like the rafael hernandez dude said Isco would be joining City barring a disaster.

But a promise is a promise.If not this year,it will surely happen next year.
