As I saw it, the point was more about the number of English internationals playing together at Arsenal and that it would possibly have as positive effects on the English NT as the number of Spanish internationals playing together at Barca has for the Spanish NT.

Wasn't there talk about naturalising Mikel Arteta a while ago? AFAIK he is eligible to get an English passport, if he would so desire.
