The striker will leave Anzhi after the fire sale decided by president Kerimov, and Mourinho doesn’t want to miss out on the chance of being reunited with a player with which he won everything at Inter. For this reason they raised their offer from 5 to 6 million on a one year deal. Eto’o prefers a two year deal, but Chelsea informed him they renew contract annually with players over 30, that is what happened with Lampard and Cole. Mourinho is calling him every day, the contacts continue. Inter is waiting, if by Monday the deal with the Blues isn’t reached the nero azzurri will make their offer. They have a 2 year deal for 4/4.5 million per season ready. The ball is in Eto’o's court. At the moment Chelsea is in the lead.

The club seem to be intent on flushing as much money down the toilet this summer as possible. Roundabout £20m for Schurrle, £30m for Willian, £35m for Jackson sodding Martinez???
