Our pursuit of Ilori has stalled due to a dispute between his club and his agent, so good luck on that one.  Though you guys may be able and willing to make the type of offer necessary to convince the two to put aside their issues for a deal, which we're currently unwilling to do.

 

Ilori's agent also represents Bruma, who is stalling over signing a new deal with Sporting. In retaliation for not pushing his client [Bruma] to sign (or pushing him to NOT sign) the club have worked hard to block any deal for his other client [Ilori]. Or so the story goes in (fairly) reliable media.

I know, we really should just pay 30m, we were gonna offer more for Cavani and as long as Higuain wants to work with Mourinho again we'll surely win.

Yilmaz is a good striker with CL experience and he is Strong. Higuain is a bit of hit and miss last season, but he is not typical Mou's striker. Again realistically none of the available strikers currently are in the mold of Cavani, so most probably they will be used in rotation with current strikers club has.

But Benteke favours a switch to White Hart Lane, mainly because he would be given top billing in a season that leads up to the 2014 World Cup finals.

He doubts he would be first choice under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea and worries about the knock-on effect, particularly with Belgium enjoying a rich choice of forwards from which to choose next summer.
