or at least the major leagues
I know there is champions league but i mean combined league without knock out and a league in true meaning of it

It would be too expensive due to travel issues - both for the fans and especially the not so big clubs. Plus how many matches would that be in the end?

sounds like a season would take several years to complete plus it creates quite the logistical nightmare and of course clubs would somewhat lose their national identity.
A more logical (but still illogical solution) would be the European Super League idea which Murdoch recently proposed in his bid to try ruining another sport

Sounds like a nightmare on so many different levels
Plus, it would limit the excitement of a big game after a while.
I hope we never see this happen.

Would be interesting to see what would happen if it just happened for a while, however long term it's best how it is currently.
Too many top teams wouldn't be able to win the league if it did happen. Also players would probably move to top clubs sooner than they do now, due to having a better chance of winning the title.
