He's about as good as a prospect you can get. The only flaw of his that I'd mention is that he gets caught out of position at times, but his pace bails him out more often than not.

How do you know ? he is willing to be a RB at Bayern imo. At first i thought he would be reluctant about that but there is no place in that mid and he is a guaranted starter at RB

He's got the LB spot cemented in one of the best teams in the world. Why would he want to go back to being a CM, especially considering the overload of talent Bayern already has there? He's not pushing Schwein, Martinez, Kroos, Gustavo and probably not even Can (if given playing time) out of position anytime soon, especially considering how average fullbacks are nowadays.

that's exactly what i think as well but he repeatedly claims he thinks he is more useful as a CM.

even after a season like this, he said two weeks ago: "i try to remain calm about it but it is my goal to become a bayern starter in central midfield". he also stated that he has informed bayern about that.

this was also picked up in relation to some rubbish arsenal rumours (link)

and as a side note: can apparently also believes he is a CM while heynckes said "he is a CB, he just doesn't know it yet"

I think i understand his situation , being the only left footed in the team , coach moved me to be left back but i wanted to be midfield CAM , but i did well at Left back and the coach was satisfied but i wasn't
I know i was armature footballer but that's the same story , almost despite the fact that he gained his fame as LB but he needs to Love what he does

CM or no CM, he's brilliant at LB, among the best in the world in that position already, has almost everything going for him, is still very young.

Future world class player, will start for Bayern for years and years.

Excellent left back, even at his current age. I hate giving compliments to Bayern but they have themselves a wonderful gem. Solid in every facet that is needed in a full back...
