Indeed. Didn't get the hype. Shit movie is shit. Only reason was able to finish was Amy Adams.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
Thanks for the link, I was aware earlier today that this was written, and was going to go find it, but you've made it easy for me.
I don't make any conclusions, the court case found no conclusions, but I don't think he did it. Of course, I don't want to think he did, which plays a big role, but I don't think he did. I really wish the whole thing would just go away. It gives me some peace to think that Woody certainly is letting it, even if the Farrow's aren't.
Very in-depth piece and presents a better case than anything I've seen so far on either the Mia supporting side or Allen supporting.
Really though, I just like his movies. I have yet to see Blue Jasmine, but I plan on it this weekend- I'm hyped.

Re: The Movie House - Part 3
Gravity
Space mission turned space chaos!
Alfonso Cuaron gives us an exceptionally well directed and suspenseful look at the dangers of space exploration. Sandra Bullock puts in an emotional-inducing performance and what is left behind is a very good movie.
Directing-wise I give this movie a flat out 9.5/10. Alfonso Cuaron made it brilliantly. He deserved/deserves each and every award he won/wins for this movie.
The movie isn't much story based and for that I can't give it a very high rating (I like a very good story). With that said, I believe that this isn't the type of movie that needs much of a storyline. It's just about the there and now, hope and the instinct for survival. The visuals and score were also very good.
My rating: 7.9/10
Dallas Buyers Club
Truth be told, I was kind of disappointed in this movie overall. I thought it would be more dramatic or fun, and more emotional. It is a good movie though. Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey put in great performances, especially the former. Jared Leto was amazing He deserves every fecking supporting actor award there is in this award season. McConaughey, good as well, but I think his performance is slightly overrated. IMO, DiCaprio should stand a very good chance at winning the Oscar, but probably won't because, as I said before, this award usually goes to an actor in a drama film.
My rating: 7.8/10
12 Years a Slave
Okay... Breathe. El Gunner, just breathe.
That was intense.
This film tells the story of a free man who was abducted and then sold into slavery. What followed was a hellish 12 years away from his wife and family. There are a lot of strong and brutal scenes throughout the film and near the end of the film you'll be so hooked by the emotion and darkness of this film you'll be left with just a sigh of relief once the film is over.
Chiwetel Ejiofor puts in a true performance and deserves a Oscar shout. The supporting cast did a tremendous job. From Lupita Nyongo'o to Michael Fassbender to Benedict Cumberbatch to Paul Dano. The acting was truly superb. I loved the score as well. You can never go wrong with Hans Zimmer composing the score of a movie. Quite exceptional he is.
Overall, I just love the honest brutality of this film and the message and education it brings.

Any horror movie fan can quickly recommend a movie before Real Madrid - Atletico Madrid starts? I'm in the mood right now but I must have watched possibly every horror movie on the planet by now.

I don't watch them to get scared. I like the atmosphere though.
Have decided to watch "Bela Kiss" by the way.

I'm out of ideas. Not a horror film fan. But those were some of the ones I've liked over the years.
Watch The Faculty. it's an older one, I think 1999 or something like that.

Also Urban Legend (1998) watched it when I was a kid. Thought it was pretty scary.

Yeah, I like the atmosphere in movies like The Mist. Silent Hill for example has a similar atmosphere. Pyramid Head.

Watched opening 30 or so minutes of The Mist then I got bored...
I'm not really a fan of horror films. No horror movie really scares me.

This is looking more and more like a nightmare that won't end. The Rock is way to thick to play Lantern
The Rock should be Cyborg if he was cast correctly:
Or my personal favorite
