Yeah Gears 2 would have been great if the connections weren't f*cking garbage.

Still my favourite Gears campaign but the MP was unplayable at times, Gears 3 fixed pretty much all the issues on the MP side but the campaign wasn't as good IMO.

I KNEW buying a second hand console was bad news

returning mine to game and just buying new

arrived with a power cable for some electrical device from the 70s I'd guess, it was huge, had to get a PS2 cable to power up the console.

Dualshock 3 controller right stick was dodgy and just sticking

i just bought a second hand ps3 and it was in fantastic shape, got it for 100 bux aswell

only games i got with it tho were little big planet and ratchet and clank, going to pickup fifa and last of us when i have some time tho

Impulsive Spending

Ended up returning that dodgy PS3, driving 50 miles round trip one day, since that's the closest GAME store to me.

Get to the store,told the guys there I wanted to return it and upgrade to a new one, tell me they have to test them and replicate the problem before they can accept the return, cool, only the console started to troll me, they brought out these tiny 1950's TV's and it wouldn't freeze up, had me playing Uncharted 2 for 20 minutes in a packed game store holding everybody up This was after the guy did some system restore which he said would probably fix it, even though I'm sure I already tried that. Told me if it freezes up again, call up the GAME helpline with a reference code and bring it back in and they'll replace it.

OK, I thought, I headed home. Plugged it in, 5 minutes later froze up. U wot m8?

Called up the game hotline, got some reference code, took it back to the a different game store the next day  since I was visiting family and they have a GAME in their city, explained the situation, gave them the code, went and spoke to their head office for like 15 mins, used my reference code, said it didn't work, they changed policy, that they would run a bunch of tests and stuff that would take an hour, so I went and did some shopping and grabbed a coffee.

Went back to the store, told me they fixed it all up and that it wasn't freezing for them. Took it home, booted it up and was greeted with a message that only shows when the console has frozen and not shut down properly previously, so now I'm thinking oh so it did freeze and these guys just fed me a bunch of crap. Ended up freezing again, so I took some videos on my phone like I was asked to do on the phone, went back to the store the next day, showed them those, told them to take it back, they did and I bought a new PS3, Thankfully, because I told my friends and family that one of two things were happening that day, I was coming home with a new PS3 or going to prison for beating the game staff to death with the broken PS3. All this in some of the hottest weather in the countries history. All in all about 200 miles.

I guess if you bothered reading this far, the moral of the story is The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.
