Re: The Official Final Fantasy thread
Yea FF games don't really require 2 playthroughs as you can always return to a certain degree.
Heard great things about the battle system. Apparently the strongest point in the game.

You sound like that guy who passed the ball to Carrasco 2 seasons ago, hoping for a one-two.

Re: The Official Final Fantasy thread
sounds like you made the mistake of getting tracked delivery rather than regular 1st class royal mail they offer for free?
smh, mistake 101
they usually ship out royal mail 1st class ones super early because they have a policy of giving you 5 pounds credit if you receive a game later than release day and they want to account for any mix ups with royal mail
seen tons of ppl saying shopto sent them to them today for tomorrow

Just finished Kingsglaive.
I thought it was pretty good. Wasn't as mediocre as I expected. Actually enjoyable.
So so hyped for FF15 now lmao. Can't wait. DAT post credit scene.

Re: The Official Final Fantasy thread
I didn't watch post credits
brb
it wasn't a chore like I thought it would be tbh, can see why ppl say you need to watch it since it gets you more invested into the story of the game
got me hype for the warp strike mechanic too

Re: The Official Final Fantasy thread
Yea it's definitely worth watching because it's good backstory and explains things that are needed in the game.
Got invested in Nyx as well lol.
I couldn't help reading some non-spoiler stuff and most of it sounds good. Apparently the towns are massive and you can easily get lost in there.

Re: The Official Final Fantasy thread
Watched gameplay of the combat and it doesn't look that great to me.
Doesn't mean none of you won't like it and I should probably experience it myself first as I always say combat is about feel but just watching gameplay I don't get the hype tbh.

Re: The Official Final Fantasy thread
People hyping the villain a lot. Saying it's one of the best in FF series. Can't wait ffs
30 hours in and I can't get enough. There's absolutely no fatigue factor. I still recall getting to PalomPorum in FFXIII and feeling like "man, if I have to run down another corridor filled with the same 5 enemies for 3 hours straight...". If anything I wish FFXV had more encounters, you can go a surprising amount of time not fighting anything at all. More importantly, 30 hours in and it's still throwing in dramatic new wrinkles into the gameplay. I wish I could divulge more without spoiling it!
The city of Altissia is so grand, so vast, so complex that it features at least THREE different pieces of background music. I haven't even covered a fraction of it yet. I have not tested out the colosseum yet, but it sounds like it might be the most entertaining distraction in the game. I don't want to spoil the manner in which you first arrive at this city, but it's such a beautiful juxtaposition, truly one of the great "awe" moments in FF history.
The villain is emerging in this game, I won't say who it is if you don't already know, but he is without question to most captivating villain in FF since Sephiroth. He's up there with the best of them, and the mystery he brings to the plot is genuinely captivating.

Re: The Official Final Fantasy thread
RG I've not read any legit spoilers but from all the trailers I'm still convinced those leaks from ages ago are legit, just makes too much sense
and I've actually read from a few people that the main villain is not memorable at all..most ppl saying the story is borderline non existent until last 1/3 and plays out in the background while you're on a bro trip which is why watching kingsglaive is essential
