You know, it was crappy that Thiago used to wear 4 and then he was asked to give it up so Cesc could use it. Now he has 11, it would be crappy if we asked him again to give up his number for Neymar.

On the other hand, 11 has always typically been used by a winger which Thiago is not. Maybe he can get Villa's 7 if he leaves? Or Neymar can get 7?

It was for the 55% of his rights that Santos owned, that's why he was so cheap.

Hopefully its true that we paid 28m for 100% of his rights.

Ganso has been screaming out that it is 28m for 100% of him with Santos getting 13m of that.

I very much doubt you'll have paid more than 28m for all of him considering he was on his final year.

Pleased that the deal happened. I wrote a day or two back that I feel he is THE player we needed. Also even though this transfer troubled us with constantly contradictory reports, for such a major transfer it has happened really fast instead of dragging all summer. That makes us breathe a little easy. We have a few things to address, most of all the central defender requirement, but most importantly we have started the summer on the front foot.

So far in this summer I think four major deals have been done - Gotze, Rodriguez, Moutinho and Neymar. Falcao believed to be next. Any I am missing?

Cheaper then Sanchez, first real good buy from Barcelona in the long run, even if he flops PSG, City etc. could easily buy him for 30m+, good day for us his shirt sales will be enough to repay his fee.

It was that or he would leave for nothing next season. With that in mind, 28m is a lot considering RVP went for far less.

28m is a lot but not for a 21 year old with his marketability, RVP is what 29 going on 30?

Personally im not expecting much, but in saying that hoping he can score a total of 15 goals for the season

Hope he can just give Messi a less of a burden with the goal count. Also like to see him play centrally when Messi is away. Tbh his skill reminds me of Ronnie a bit and I hope he can use to our advantage and add this other dimension to our game. Also like to see him take risks in his game not this passing back all the time but willing to take on defenders like what Alexis was suppose to be...

I remember very well that most of you wanted Neymar and your posts are there for everyone to see. I was the first and ONLY person who claimed he'd flop from the very beginning.

I must have been reading different posts. Plenty of people preferred a 'safer' option like Aguero, but most of us have been resigned to getting Neymar. Its been known for some time... Its not a surprise which means people are exercising caution now.

Instead of saying every player will flop at Barca why don't you actually add something to the forum for once.

Half the world thinks he is going to flop mate... Since we're fans, its kind of understandable why we are trying to look at things hopefully/positively.
