Re: Bayern Munich - The Champions Of Europe
Feels good when the right team wins the competition. Bayern this season have been a level above every other team in Europe. Congrats to them.
Dortmund and their fans can be proud of themselves. They've won over every neutral fan and have played some of the best attacking football I've seen in ages. Great young team. Losing Goetz is a big blow, but if they can keep Lew + make some good signings in the summer, they'll be back competing for the CL next season again.
Great game of football. Enjoyed every bit of it. Dortmund started out well and had the majority of the chances, but it was obvious that not converting those chances will bite them back. They ran out of steam in the 2nd half and Bayern took control and over powered them eventually. Redemption for Robben after last season's final.
Stand out players for me were Rues, Martinez, Weidenfeller and Robben.
Ref chocked and should have sent off Dante and Ribery during the game.
CL is the greatest competition in the world.

Bayern deserving winners but I will shed a tear when this wonderful Dortmund side is broken up, lets hope they can rebuild and come back playing the same trilling style of football. In Kloppo I trust!
Interesting to watch Klopp post match though, he admitted it will be start again to rebuild and he will need to sign players, most importantly he mentioned his team will challange again in 2 years time and not next season, but hes being realistic next season and not aim too high I think.

Congratulations to Bayern fans here, Bayern were lucky last night that Dante didn't get sent off for some reason but admittedly are the best team in the world right now.
Yeah, I expected to see more about this, still have no idea how Dante didn't receive a card for that.
I was so happy to see Robben get his redemption before he was sold to (insert name of crap team with too much money)

I'm sure all top refs are told to (if avoidable) not give reds in finals of any big tournament. You see it all the time in finals, players are able to get away with much more because nobody wants the final ruined by a red card.
I think if that's a Bundesliga game, that ref is giving a second yellow and then a red in addition to the PK.

Re: Bayern Munich - The Champions Of Europe
I think more than the quality of individual it was difference the way ribery and robben kept on drifting inside. When the goal was scored in 89th minute, i could not believe ribery was in the centre as if as a CF, robben too near him and i guess dortmund defence totally panicked. Not sure if it was purposeful move by heycknes telling them to drift so much inside. But in the end it worked.
this was probably the last time I would have supported bayern when playing against Dortmund. I hope heycknes wont go to madrid or anywhere, he should retire just as Fergie did. Why you wanna go to madrid and get sacked, ending your career like that. Instead ending career after a treble will be more magnificient.

That idiot said Bayern would win the UCL every year since 2010. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
BTW, quote of the tie:
"Isch 'abe geschlafen mit die Pokal - und meine Frau."
Very, very thick french-accented German for "I slept with the cup. And my wife."

Best team in Europe. Dortmund were the closest and they are being dismantled. Pep has got a job on his hands.

This is certainly true...I hope players dont take advantage knowing this though and think they can step over whats tolerated.
