That's why im struggling to understand it because it doesn't really fit the player or the teams needs.

I can see it working tbh.

Mata on the right hand side playing from deep just feeding Neymar / Messi. They don't need a goal-scorer. They just need to feed Neymar and Messi. Iniesta as good as he is, is ageing and Xavi has declined with age too. Mata would work as he'll not only learn the strings from those two, but be the other "play making" option.

Hope that means we selling Cesc next and not loaning out Deulofeu

In other Barca rumors, it appears Villa will cost Spurs 11 or 12M. Bojan is going to stay with Milan for 5M-with Robinho likely headed to Santos, it should open up for more playing time for the pint sized Catalan

Not bad, but that would really hinder Deu and Cuenca might be up in the air. Although if we did have that line up, injuries upfront would be less of a problem, and Tello would still get playing time over Pedro (i'd hope). That would leave Villa and Sanchez out, and I love Villa!!

But anyways Cesc to City!!

Oh and the CB, if it's not Hummels then definitely Luiz. Dede has really died down as of late.

They should've bought him two years ago if they wanted him. After Chelsea paid €25m for the player in January 2011 he is going to be really expensive for Barcelona if they want him now. His price tag is why I doubt him moving anywhere.

You can't name one error at CB by Luiz this year i can name about 5 a game when he's played CB. In fact, i stopped watching some games because he was making me so angry back there with his positional cluelessness. He almost ALWAYS gets caught out of position at CB. 10x worse than Pepe and Ramos at that. He only started lookong good when he was moved to DM. and btw, why do you think Rafa moved him to DM? it's because he was losing the few remaining hairs he had leaving Luiz at CB

If you want a CB who can make a nice pass and has a good shot... sure. Go ahead and buy Luiz. But it certainly shouldn't be for any defensive talent.

Pique-Luiz would be fantastic for Madrid
