PSG is pursuing Ganso and has sent a team to Brazil to negotiate the transfer according to iTele in France. Decent rumor actually... Gilles Verdez is a well known reporter.
Random. I have no idea if he would ever even play with Lucas and Pastore on the team

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
New Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has apparently asked owner Aurelio De Laurentiis to the secure the services of former Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles.
Despite arriving at the Premier League club after Benitez had left to take over as coach of Internazionale in 2010 the Spaniard has identified the 30-year-old to add to the Naples clubs options next season.
According to Mynet.com the Portuguese’s arrival could also signal the departure of Gokhan Inler, the Swiss international potentially heading to Meireles former club Liverpool.

It would be epic if in football when a player enters the field his music theme plays WWE style as he is running onto the pitch. Imagine the first CL game after the January transfer window you hear Falcao's theme music as he is running in.

Pastore and Lucas both miss quite a bit of games with minor injuries. There's a lot of PT there.windkick wrote:sportsczy wrote:http://www.le10sport.com/football/ligue1/psg/mercato-psg-leonardo-negocie-pour-ganso-106709

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
clause is 65-70 mil according to rumor... so Monaco would make 5-10 mil in 6 months. I highly doubt Madrid would pay that unless very desperate.Mr Nick09 wrote:Manu Sainz @Manu_Sainz 3m

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
I still dont get why Monaco would agree to that ridiculous contract if true. Lets go ahead and pay 60M for this guy, just so we can turn around and sell him 4 months later. Especially when Monaco do not need the money back considering they are filthy rich. I dont see why anybody, regardless of who it is, would ever make a blockbuster signing from one team, and sign the player with a clause in his contract that states they will be sold away to the club of his choosing in the very following window. Especially when the guy just cost 60M.
I mean if true, I give more props to Falcao on this one than anybody. He gets out of his third party garbage situation he is in, but Monaco come out looking like giant idiots here. Real Madrid come out looking the way they always do, greedy lol

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Falcao gives Monaco credibility and can win them a lot of games for the first 4 months of the season. Also, there aren't many clubs that have huge cash and have no concerns about players being CL-tied during winter mercato... It makes sense in a lot of ways.
I have major doubts that such a clause triggers in the winter. I think there will be clauses next summer like this and if Monaco don't qualify for CL.

Hopefully, the style is prettier next year. Like you, i thought PSG played very ugly in the 2nd half of the season.

That I can see; a clause stating he gets to leave (unless Real Madrid have paid Monaco already a bit of cash, I dont see why the clause would specifically name them) if Monaco don't make UCL during the summer. But a clause stating he can leave in the winter makes zero sense. Not sure how you think it gives "credibility" or whatever logic you think of. In reality it's the oppositie. It makes them look like a joke for splashing 60M only to sell the player 4 months later. The club and owners owe nothing to Falcao or Real Madrid to do them such a favor since Atleti wont sell to Real. It's not in Atleti's hands anyway. Apparently the third party gets to choose where we went....in that case why doesn't Real just buy him now? Also, Monaco are rich and dont have to sell. I just dont get why that rumor makes any sense

Source is pretty decent. That specific reporter is well known. He was Chief Editor for Le Parisien and a major reporter for l'Equipe before that. He was joint director of France-Soir, a very well known French newspaper, until 2012 when it started having financial issues.
Not a joke this guy. Gilles Verdez has a major reputation.

Di Maria is average, I don't understand why QSG are willing to pay so much for him. They already have Menez and Moura

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
Ricardo Carvalho is poised to join Monaco after jetting into the Principality on Monday evening, according to Le Parisien.
Carvalho, 35, is out of contract with Real Madrid at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer.
The defender arrived at Nice airport along with his agent, Jorge Mendes, to discuss joining the newly-promoted Ligue 2 champions, who are keen to make an instant impression on the French top flight.
Former Porto and Chelsea centre-back Carvalho, capped 75 times by Portugal, would add top-grade know-how and experience to a side which will feature his former international team-mate Joao Moutinho and Colombian international forward James Rodriguez, who were snapped up from Porto for a combined €70 million last week.
RMC cites "a source close to Monaco" as saying that Carvalho is being offered a one-year contract with an option for a further year.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours Mk.II
How are Monaco going to be able to abide by financial fair play rules with this level of expenditure in both transfer fees and wages ? They have a tiny stadium so unless they charge 1,000 euros a match, which i suppose they can given their location, I dont see how Monaco will be able to break even in 3 years . And I dont know about any of their other commercial revenues but i doubt that they will be able to cover the amount Monaco are willing to spend .

no idea timzink honestly... with PSG, the business model there. With Monaco... you're probably going to see Russian oil companies give them 100 mil a year sponsorships
