Juve meet with Pope Francis

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli, Coach Antonio Conte and captain Gigi Buffon met with Pope Francis today.

The Bianconeri delegation visited the Vatican for a private audience with the Pope this evening.

Along with Agnelli, Conte and Buffon were directors Giuseppe Marotta and Aldo Mazzia.

Pope Francis is said to be a Juventus supporter, as his family originates from the Piedmont region, but above all he is a big fan of Argentine club San Lorenzo.

The Pope is also due to meet delegations from Roma and Lazio ahead of Sunday’s Coppa Italia Final.

Meanwhile, Juve star Sebastian Giovinco announced the birth of first son Jacopo this morning.
