His goal doesn't make a difference to how I view him.

Too many times, Sexes has gotten so much stick just due to his antics or the fact that he will explode anytime. All I have seen is a commanding capitano in our back who barks orders, marshalls our line, works his ass off and is a true big game presence that has made Zapata look far better than the piece of junk Centreback he is.

I just now hope he truly gets the recognition he deserves. He is a Rossonero, through and through. That is undeniable.

He's put in an excellent season and should be deservedly lauded as our best defender of the season due not simply to his individual performances, recovering from a shaky start, but in the manner that he has organised and led from the back. He has grown in stature throughout the season and his ability on the ball from the back is vital to the fluency of our play, not to mention the manner in which he has stepped up for us in these past few games, providing the assist against Torino, a man of the match defensive performance against Roma and the goal that has sent us to the Champions League qualifiers.

Still a flawed player and a hilarious yellow card threat, however a true pillar of the team and one deserving of the love of the fans.
