On paper this should be the easiest win of the season, hopefully it will be that in reality, too.

The 35-year-old will play his 737th and final match for the Reds against the Londoners as the 2012-13 season comes to a conclusion at Anfield.

Prior to kick off, players from both Liverpool and QPR will create a guard of honour for Carragher, while the LED boards around the perimeter of the pitch will read 'Thanks For The Memories, Carra' and 'A True Liverpool Legend'.

After a short introduction from matchday announcer Peter McDowall, Carra will head out onto the pitch accompanied by his two children and the Kop will be asked to hold aloft cards to create a 'JC 23' mosaic before he is presented with a gift on behalf of QPR.

Following the conclusion of the game, Ian Callaghan - LFC's all-time record appearance maker - will join captain Steven Gerrard in making a presentation to Carragher and each will say a few words about the No.23.

The man himself will then address the Anfield crowd before the first-team squad and staff embark on their traditional end-of-season lap of honour around the pitch.

A new documentary featuring Jamie Carragher's managers, teammates and some high-profile opponents airs for the first time at 7pm BST on Friday, May 24 on LFC TV. 'Carragher' will also be available on LFC TV Online and will conclude a fortnight of tributes across club media.

This whole week's been full of emotions for me, can't believe it but it hit me this morning, JC23 will no longer wear the famous red jersey. What a great servant for the club his been. M favorite LFC defender. Hopefully he goes out on a high today and grabs a goal, a true club legend. This is really killing me as i know stevie g will be in the same position come 3 or 4 years and im not looking forward to that.

We should comfortable take this game, and i hope cara has the game of his life. If QPR wreck this for cara i hope they get relegated again next year.

Going to be good to see our new kit in action, hopefully cara dons the armband today. We will miss you good sir.

Happy retirement to Carragher. Here is a real Liverpool legend, unlike Suarez who you all worship here. Carragher is a classy man and a gentlemen who would never behave like Suarez. Very good defender in his prime too,not quite world class but pretty close.

My greatest memory of him will be Istanbul. We would have never won that without him. He never give up. Thanks Carra. Thumbs up

No you're right. This thread and the scorelines prediction thread definitely shows that we don't know how to respect a "real" Liverpool legend.
