L'Equipe: PSG will only release Carlo if Madrid negotiates for CR7

As a man manager, i think carlo is the kind of person that treats his players like adults and try to make them accountable for their own decisions. He doesnt try to go around sniffing in their businesses like guardiola. there are different man management techniques obviously, but it all depends of the players you are coaching, some needs more discipline than others. I dont think being a good man manager has to do with how much you can beat discipline into a player, there are softer ways to do it.

Mou in madrid failed because he tried to enforce the way players needed to think and act, all for his sake. Wrong approach there. Capello also tried to be an enforcer in madrid, failed. Carlo will actually succeed at that level i think. he has a very soft approach to people and i think our players are more comfortable with that kind of leader, the Del Bosque type.

It's for his tactics that i am worried.

I take it back... Blanc has been linked to PSG and by Le Parisien no less lol. I don't know about this one. I like Blanc. But Ibra will eat him for lunch lol.

I see. I won't deny that Carlo is very good with the media , everybody knows that and that's why i didn't mention in it in the first place. Though i wasn't quite aware that Blanc is concidered a noob in France ; i thought they valued him a big deal by now , but obviously you know better. Still , i believe you are a bit cynical here with Blanc , noob or not , he didn't leave a worst France NT than he got from Domenech. Now , if he lost the ship , obviously he must have been at fault with some players, but it's not always down to the coach. When players like Nasri and Ben Arfa are needed and there's no time to replace them , Blanc was pretty much helpless to do anything. Many coaches would have founded themselves in the same situation. Of course , that doesn't change much.

Anyway , despite all that , if Ancelotti wants to leave , PSG should let him go , Ronaldo or no Ronaldo. Although i watch PSG from time to time , i am sure he must have shown glimpses of his stuborness and the boring football(at times) must have been evident too . I think keeping someone close to the club when he wants to leave is a wrong choice for a club with power and i am fairly certain PSG can do better than Ancelotti , despite winning them the title this season. Perhaps this must be the best time for a 'noob' like Blanc to take the wheel , since Lyon and Marseille are in a transition period... i think he would do well , but anyway .

Really ? Well , it might be just paper talk for now , but seriously , i think he would do very well at PSG. Perhaps he has learned from the France NT experience ? Anyway , assuming he does end up at PSG , the players will want to establish their place again , so i wouldn't worry that much about this issues in his first year at the club.

The issue is precedent. PSG don't want to set the precedent that they can be handled like this even by Madrid. Unfortunately, Carlo is going to be made an example out of imo... Madrid are just going to have to pay up big in some way or Carlo will not be released.

If Carlo had approached PSG first and Madrid as well, this wouldn't even have reached this point. PSG would have released Carlo.

I understand the situation now .. You can't fault PSG obviously . But nevertheless , if he wants to go there and Madrid want him.. it will not do much good to keep him against his will . However , Ancelotti usualy honours his word , i imagine he won't go unless he resolves things with PSG , otherwise he will stay . But who will actualy benefit from this scenario ?PSG would have a coach who wants to leave , Ancelotti would still want Madrid and vice versa . None will benefit , obviously.

Carlo opened the door to staying at PSG. Interviewed with l'Equipe today:

"Of course there's a chance i'll stay. I integrated well here and I'm not a person who likes change. But before i decide, we have to clarify things. Some great things happened this year and other things weren't so great."

He realizes it's going to be too messy to leave and that he has a good thing going. Just wants an extension imo.

PSG have offered Cristiano Ronaldo terms worth €18m per season after tax, according to L'Equipe today.

It's even juicier than that... CR7 had asked Madrid 15 mil net of taxes and they had said categorically no. Their payroll doesn't allow it.

PSG have also offered a fee of 100 mil.

Interesting to see if CR7 forces this or not.

Not only are those numbers not correct, but more to the point that's not what this forum is about.

You can join a Madrid forum if all you want to hear is Madrid, Madrid, Madrid.

Madrid fans have their own section and we have a transfer rumour thread in the general section. Otherwise we'd just end up with thousands of threads about transfer rumours every summer and winter break.

Don't post or read this thread if you don't like it. Very simple. As long as it stays one of the most active threads in the general section, it means people are interested. If nobody cared, it would fall off.
