You beat me to it by nanoseconds buddy. I was about to start this thread.

Today I was having a wonderful day. So I thought to myself that maybe this indicates Madrid won't win against Espanyol and we will win La Liga tonight itself.

Many congratulations to the entire team and the supporting staff for winning our fourth league title in five years.

Well, I had a good day too and this just completes the day. It was more or less won long time ago, but in football you never know.

With all the problems in defense, injuries, cancers, i think this team has done really good and we deserved the title. I hope the management understood the problems we had and will make good improvements for next season.

Have to admit that my emotion for this title as of now is almost 0, but it's a great accomplishment.

22 League titles.

Excellent.........dont think we would of beat Atletico tommorow and would have to prolong this another week.

A really tough season in various levels and its easy to take the title for granted because it was won so early, but I do not forget the consistency and level of performance in that early to mid part...we broke some kind of record for best start or something no?

Either way, proud of the team's success in this competition. I think its fair to say the off field difficulties made this title a harder one, even more so than the challanges we faced on the field.

Well I for once i feel great, although I really have no time to celebrate. Got t hand in my final version of thesis for print in Monday.

Double happiness for dani. Along with our title being confirmed Porto will also likely win their league title next week.

Still work to do, but Porto are indeed unbeaten the entire season (the only one after beating Benfica) and the win surely propells Porto while Benfica must be hurting right now knowing its out their hands.

Its close but a great day for me for sure.

Also great day for the underdog - Wigan Athletic, a team almost certain to be relegated from the EPL, won the FA Cup tonight and did so very deservingly.

Yes dani. I watched this match even though it was a struggle on the internet on a small screen with a half sleepy demeanour. Benfica just played so badly. They didn't even try hard enough to win the match and although it was only settled in the last few minutes Porto completely deserved this victory. Benfica's defense isn't good enough to assure them a draw in such a key game. Hence if that was the strategy it totally backfired. Maybe its time for Benfica to move away from Jorge Jesus. He has won just one league title in several years and even in that he was helped by the punishment given to Hulk.

We've also won the King's cup in Futsal.

We are such a big club that we celebrate more than a title somedays.

Also, pulling for Atletico this Friday. Would be the greatest troll job on Mou if his team lost in the final of a cup in his teams own stadium vs a team that hasnt beat Real Madrid in like 19 years lol

Don't care if we win or not as it will give At. Madrid more confidence into their final which I hope they win!

Resurgent on basis of last season. They blew it this year, which is true, but Barcelona still had to be consistent to win it.

I still don't understand. Madrid were better last year.

It's arguable Granada have had a better season than Madrid this year, which is why I wonder why you call them resurgent when they were both: Better last year, and trash this year.

I'm not understating Barca's consistency I just don't understand exactly what you're saying.

I understand, my mistake for not making myself clear. Since Mou came to Madrid, they have been getting better right up to this season. They won the Copa in the first season, then they won the league with a record points and that is why i called them resurgent. They had a massive dip in form at the start of this season which helped us, but our consistency in the league meant that we snatched La Liga title off them.

By resurgent, i meant they were getting better over the pat couple of seasons.

Ahh alright I thought you were talking about compared to last season.
