Rank the young players (Future Genoa Legends Thread)
Interested to see how everyone else rates some of our young players relative to me, plus they are pretty much the only thing we have to look forward to atm so might as well - For purposes of this thread I'm going with 21 or younger for age cutoff - I'm taking into account both how well they've played when I've watched and also how much potential I think they have
Instead of ranking them 1-10 etc I'm going to rank them in tiers
1. Kovacic
2. Juan Jesus, Obi, Longo
3. Crisetig, Livaja, Duncan, Mbaye
4. Benedetti, Benassi
5. Garritano, Romano, Bessa
Still not sure what I think about Bessa or Benassi, they intrigue me - Also don't think I've seen Bardi yet
The rest I either haven't seen enough of or don't think are that relevant

Re: Rank the young players (Future Genoa Legends Thread)
It's such a shame obi is always injured, we could've used him this season
Anyways, I think I agree with most of your list, but other than benedetti( first time I heard of him tbh) I don't rate livaja that much and what I've seen of Bessa I think he's very good technically but he won't amount to anything, I'm just sceptic like that
1. Kovacic
2. Juan Jesus, obi
3. Mbaye, Duncan
4. Benassi, crisetig, livaja
5. The others

Ive never been impressed with Livaja's playing style but its hard to argue against what he's been able to do so far for a 19 year old
Crisetig is a boss, I definitely rate him over Benassi

i have always like livaja i dont know why i think he will be good. i have never seen crisetig nor bianchetti.
obi is average but he never had his chance to prove else.
mbaye, benassi and the others will surely be better than the rubbish we buy as cover (schelotto, rocchi, silvestre, jonathan, kuzmanovic ... )

1. Obi
2. Juan Jesus, Kovacic
3. Livaja
4. Longo, Benassi
5. Garritano
small list haven't seen many in a while . I love Obi, he's a workhorse, really offers a lot and when I was first seeing him play I didn't even know he was a youngster, I couldn't tell. So much potential...
I prefer Coutinho over Kovacic so perhaps that's why I can't see him as something phenomenal.
Juan Jesus has both impressed me remarkably, and disappointed me.
I had higher expectations for Longo but Livaja is proving to be better.
I like Benassi but can't see him enough to rate.

Kovacic is AMAZING player..
If Inter keep doing what they are doing then they CANNOT keep hold of Kovacic. He is to good.. His runs , his passing.. Without serious injuries this will be one of the best midfield players in the world.

Gotta say I would be sad for Inter if they ended up selling Kovacic for sheikh-money.

Re: Rank the young players (Future Genoa Legends Thread)
How can you guys leave out the best player in Inter's youth system?
DUNCAN!!!! The beast!
I want this dude to come to Juve so badly...under the right manager, he can turn out like Vidal...

Still not sure what I think about Bessa or Benassi, they intrigue me - Also don't think I've seen Bardi yet
The rest I either haven't seen enough of or don't think are that relevant

Re: Rank the young players (Future Genoa Legends Thread)
Why would Kovacic leave Inter? You guys need him for your future, your a big club, and you can offer relatively large amounts of money.
Re: Rank the young players (Future Genoa Legends Thread)
It's like Vidal at Juvi. You'll hold on to him for as long as possible, but once crazy money is offered to both him and Juvi he wil be sold.

We're not in the CL, not even in the EL. We can pay him a lot, but many clubs out there can far exceed what we can pay him in wages. Not to mention many clubs have us beat in terms of prestige and exposure as well
Best we can hope for is to hold on as long as we can, sell for as much as we can, and use those funds wisely
