Way older, inconsistent and injury prone. Really I don't think he would be an improvement. Whereas Benzema is only inconsistent.

Hate Rooney guts but he's been professional through out this season

Really think so? The way i see it is both are elite player. Benzema is more talented, but rooney has better vision. Both are inconsistent. But Benzema is younger and less injury prone. Besides, Rooney gets himself sent off more often than Benzema. If I had to choose one over the other i would go for the frenchman.
He would definetly increase real madrid's revenue stream though...

Benzema is more talented based on what exactly? Had one good season in his career
and yes I don't count ligue un inb4Sports
Rooney is a better footballer and will be a slite improvemnt on flopzema. I would welcome a Rooney move seeing as he is a fat piece of chit and his diet is an embarrassment. People can say what they want about Cristiano but the guy is an example when it comes to keeping his conditioning. Always looks after his body. Hell Rooney was more talented than Ronaldo, difference between looking after yourself and being a glutton. By the time Rooney retires, he will need a wheelchiar just to move around. I hope we shift him off this summer. Aboslute disgrace.

Benzema has more of an upside but right now Roonay would rightfully be considered the better player by many.

It's hard to say though. Both Benzema and Rooney had similar season last year... and this one although Benz has picked it up over the past month. Before that, Rooney without a doubt. But not so sure starting last year.

rooney wouldn't be a big improvement on benzema in the least, if benz gets the starting role next season he will hit 30 goals again, benz even has more overall goals and assist this season already, stay classy BPL

I don't have anything against people thinking rooney is the better footballer. I disagree but i think it's plausible. Either way the difference isn't big.Besides, it's not only about how good you are. In a tranfer you also take in to consideration age, injury proness, on and off the pitch behavious. And because of that I believe Benzema is a better choice.

Wayne: P.36 G16 A.13
Benz: P.47 G19 A.20
Benz: P.47 G19 A.20
So with 11 more games than him, Benzema ONLY has 3 goals more. And all this while Rooney's played second fiddle to RVPrick
Really?

Benzema started only 30 matches. Playing 2691 mins total.
http://www.realmadrid.com/cs/Satellite/en/1193041476158/1202775163178/jugador/Jugador/Benzema.htm
Rooney completed 2055 mins total.
So Rooney a goal or assist every 70 minutes.
Benzema a goal or assist every 69 minutes.

With the added bonus that Rooney can take a free kick and actually head the ball

Re: Rooney removes "Manchester United player" from his Twitter bio
Rooney didn't take any FKs when CR7 was at Man U and neither does Benz. SInce DD has taken over France NT, Benz takes all the FKs though and he's taken them very well.
No argument on the air game because Benz can't head the ball at all lol.
I will add that 2 of Rooney's goals are on PKs and Benz doesn't take PKs... his are all in open play.

Re: Rooney removes "Manchester United player" from his Twitter bio
It would be a huge mistake by United to sell Rooney. Then again, they have Kagawa whose best position is that #10 role, and while Rooney is the overall better footballer, Kagawa is more creative.

Re: Rooney removes "Manchester United player" from his Twitter bio
Statement from Wayne Rooney
There’s a load of rubbish being written about me changing twitter bio saying I have deleted Manchester United from it.
I have never deleted Manchester United from the bio whatever the papers are saying because it was never on there.
All that happened was that I was asked by Nike to add @nikeuk to it – the same as many other sportspeople they sponsor.
Funny, no-one’s written about that though!
That change was made THREE weeks ago and yet people are talking about it as if its something that was put up yesterday..
