Juve line up €18m Robben bid
Juventus are preparing an €18m offer for Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
The newspaper suggests Robben has always been a favourite of Coach Antonio Conte, who was even more impressed after the Champions League quarter-final that saw Bayern beat Juve 4-0 on aggregate.
A move for the 29-year-old is looking more plausible now that Bayern Munich have announced the capture of Borussia Dortmund forward Mario Götze.
The Corriere dello Sport claims the Germans would be willing to release the Dutch international for around €18m.
Robben would fit the bill of ‘top player’ that Juventus are looking for and provide more width for tactical experimentation.
Bayern Munich are practically in the Champions League Final after thrashing Barcelona 4-0 in the first leg of their semi-final on Tuesday.

Right then, who thinks Robben could play in a free role behind a striker?
If we're sticking with a 3-5-2 then Robben will be played as a striker. But we all know he's a RM/RW who likes to cut in on his left foot. I think because Robben doesn't look to cross he could probably play as a roaming forward behind a traditional #9.

Yea, switch back to a 4-3-3, with Vucinic left, Robben right, and Llorente center. Then just get a backup striker and were all set.

he is not zlatan...and at bayern they don't give astronomical wage to their players...they are economically responsable...(according to google he earns 5.5m/year...that's under Gigi's salary...and thats way more reasonable than zlatan's 12-14m/year at PSG)
while i have some doubts about robben's age...it would be a nice addition.
but 18m? i think that's to much.

Yes we have to be this ambitious if we are to become dominate in Europe, Robben will definitelly be an upgrade to our starting eleven, however I am a little bit worried about his injury problems and age.
Since we are developing a project, I think we should avoid signing player from 29years above. The full effect of this project will come to play within the next 2-3 years, so I suggest we look to sign younger players like Munian from Bilbao.

and that my friend is the problem, we still havent seen isla back to 100% because of the injury, Pepe will be coming off one of his own, Giovinco cant cut it at this level, and Vucinic is well, vucinic, you dont know what your going to get out of him.

Just because he play on a side striker role that doesn't make him a winger,
ROBBEN is a goal poacher, and if he comes we need to play him behind VUCINIC or we have to switch to 4-3-3, however I don't believe we will switch formation because it would kick out some players, I think ROBBEN would play something like MARCHISIO against LAZIO...

Robben is a phenomenal player but I doubt Bayern are going to sell him! For me this is all transfer gossip/fantasy football! Only believe it when I see the pictures of the player with the mesh vest in the medical!

Re: Juve line up €18m Robben bid
To be honest Robben's no longer a first team player when Kroos is fit.
And not to mention when Pep takes over Robben will probably be the first one to go.
He plays the exact opposite of what Pep wants. If we get Robben I would be happy, and I don't see it as unrealistic. Bayern must offload players because you can't have your 3rd choice players at such a high level for long, they will want to start important games and will want to play often.

One of my favourite players but he can be useful only if we change to 4-3-3.
Considering his age and injuries i think 18mln is too much...10-12mln max.
