The Sport vs The Team
Are you a bigger fan of football or your favorite team?
Lets say you are an Man United(or Whatever) fan. You team play against bottom-feeder Reading, a match where 3 points almost in certain. But then at the same time Bayern and Barcelona plays in a cracking CL Semi final. Which one would you watch?
Are you more fan of a team than the sport general?

Re: The Sport vs The Team
Chelsea will always come first, but I love watching any football match. I'd probably watch the Chelsea match first then the cracking match on a replay.

Re: The Sport vs The Team
Well, being a fan of a 4th division team, my guys usually play outside the times of the big guys, so I usually don't have to choose anyway. Yay me!

One on the TV one on the Laptop.
The only occasion's that would really have me considering watching them over my club team are Euro/WC finals or the CL finals.

Re: The Sport vs The Team
I'd seriously watch Arsenal doesn't matter against who we play and what other big match is on at the same time...
But I wouldn't like to say that I'm more of an Arsenal fan than a football fan. I mean you can't make a nigga chose between those two shit.

This, I guess. I'd get to enjoy the tension in the evenly matched tie, and later I get to appreciate how my team pummels some poor schmocks.
On the other hand, my team usually is the poor schmocks.

Realistically, Friendly in May?!
To each his own man. Supporting your club and appreciating football don't have to be mutually exclusive. You support a club because you like the football they play. And big teams are not the only ones who play good football, thats to say, their brand of football may not necessarily appeal to every one.
If every man has to the same perception of beauty, then the average/below average women will die alone.

Actually, Chelsea and Man city are playing two friendlies in the US in may.
It's after the season has ended though.
