Juventus on the defensive

Luca Marrone and Federico Peluso will form two-thirds of Juventus’ back-three in the game against Pescara this weekend.

Boss Antonio Conte will be forced into rearguard changes given that Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini are suspended.

Marrone, who has been transformed from a midfielder into a defender this term, will be used in the middle with Leonardo Bonucci asked to play on the right.

Peluso, a January signing from Atalanta, will be moved centrally from the wing-back role that he was fielded in against Bayern Munich in the 2-0 loss on Tuesday.

Stephan Lichtsteiner and Arturo Vidal are likely to be used in midfield as the pair will be suspended for the second leg against the German giants.
