Tbh i don't really care for him as far as his personality goes but i do respect him hugely a sportsman and to come back after injury and personal troubles i think deserves respect.

Its was only a matter of time before he reached world number one again. His biggest problem was his putting, he spent allot of time working on the new swing and neglected working on his short game.

Tigers 2 under as of now, only 3 strokes back.

This 14 year old amateur from China, Tianlang Guan has been the story so far, youngest player ever in the Masters.

He's played pretty well too, all things considered.

Has a chance to make the cut, but he just got a 1 stroke penalty addressed to him today for slow play. He does play slow but so do a lot of golfers(Furyk). There hasn't been a slow play penalty since 1995. Seems lame to me.

Tiger's slowly getting back to form..would have been there at the end if not for the deadball penalty. Great for golf as it brings back part time golf watchers like myself.

Tiger had some of the worst luck I've seen in a round on Saturday. First on one hole, he drills the pin dead on, which would normally result in a 1putt from there...
but the ball ricochets like 20 feet back where it came from into the water( Official Golf thread - Page 2 W846qv

).

His drop from that is what lead to the 2 stroke penalty. Later, he had a birdie putt spin 360 degrees around the cup before spinning out.

Even with all that he still finished -5 under, just 4 strokes back(had the above not happened he would've been in that playoff :coffee:

). It just wasn't Tigers' weekend.

Tiger just won The Players Championship today. Shot a great round except for the 14th.

He was tied with Sergio Garcia with Tiger on the 18th and Garcia on the 17th. Garcia proceeds to then hit the ball into the water on back-to-back shots rofl

His tee shot on the 18th also went in the water, had me dying.

Choked so bad in the final round, but he had a great tournament.

Was rooting for Charl but it seems he also faltered in the final round, those back to back bogeys at 17th and 18th killed his momentum.

What happened to Rory is my biggest fear for every professional golfer, switching equipment manufacturers. You don't play the majority of your life with one brand, one feel, and one style and expect things to stay the same and not effect your game. He'll struggle for another year till he figures out the in's and out's of the Nike equipment and then he'll burst back on the scene.

I don't know the first thing about golf. I honestly don't even know how the score is kept. I don't know what the different clubs are called. And other than Tiger Woods, Mickelson and McIlroy don't know any other golfers.
