If u ask me there is no local hero bigger than what Totti is to Roma.

U got ur Maldinis, Gerrards, Puyols, Rauls, Giggs, Scholes, Del Pieros, Buffons, Casillas, etc. but all these guys played in clubs who were amongs the richest and had the strongest squads.

Totti's Roma never had a world conquering squad bar the 2001 Serie A winning team. Looking at how little Roma had of financial strength the last decade it's easy to see why Totti is a bigger local legend than all the aforementioned players. Totti could've walk into virtually any XI in the world, yes he was that good in his prime, but he chose Roma.
