is Xavi better than Maradona, Pele, Ronaldo Lima?

my friends say Xavi is pretty much better than these guys, since he has won more trophies club+national level.

It's far too difficult to compare a player like Xavi to somebody like Ronaldo and Co.

I mean, there's not exactly a set criteria to decide who's better than who in such different positions. As for the trophy argument, that's also a poor one.

Look at a world-class player such as Totti, he's a one club man, Loyal to Roma yet he's won 1 serie A title, a couple of cups and supercups. For a player of his class that's not alot at club level. Then you take a player from a different position like Milan Baros who's won the granddaddy of them all, the Champions league. Is Baros better than Totti? God no.

Trophy haul is obviously not everything when talking about greats but contributing to winning a trophy, especially as a main component of the trophy winning team, definitely ups your stock.

Xavi better than Maradona and Pele? No way. And Ronaldo is a striker, not a center mid, so it's hard to compare the two.
