I think since we've messed up and caused species to become extinct through recklessness then there's nothing wrong with us putting it right.

Like people have said though, we would need to make sure it didn't screw up our current eco-systems.

I would love to see a living Mammoth. Not in a zoo though, which I can see happening if de-extinction catches on when some business men get the idea. Think Jurassic Park with less disasters and less dinosaurs.
