If you use some different form of accounting than what clubs normally use to calculate their transfer fees than yes, just like how Bale's fee would suddenly rise to 265m if you used El Mundo's accounting method(i.e. by incorporating amounts which do exist but are NEVER incorporated in the transfer fee reported - meaning if you suddenly start including those side amounts, ALL signings would suddenly be driven through the roof).

Well, it was a fan who denounced Rosell. Which shows that the Barca fans don't want to be brainwashed by a corrupt man and want to know the truth. Not all fans are like that. From what we know so far, I don't think so. I mean, I don't belive that we have found out anything new so far regarding Neymars price. I belive that the €95M that el mundo reported, they got that number by incorporating amounts which do exist but are NEVER incorporated in the transfer fee reported, which means that if you start including those fee's in other singings, then ALL signings would suddenly be alot more expensive. For example, El mundo deportivo did a similiar thing with Bale´s transfer and the amount of money was €265 million.

Needless to say, that we have to wait until we get to know what Rosell really payed for Neymar..

Well I doubt they'll effect Barca (the club) much, they already got Neymar, and blocked Madrid from getting him in the process, so they still win, even if it was illegally.

Not that it matters to me, but the only unreasonable calculation El Mundo seems to be making is attaching the 6.5 million pounds paid for the right to buy other Santos players. Everything else seems strictly pertaining to Neymar.

Where does the extra 170 million for Bale come from if you don't mind me asking? It's pretty clear that the added cost for Neymar is derived from, and pretty clear that Rosell tried to hide those costs. If you find El Mundo's accounting method unusual, it's probably because they're including money being channelled to Neymar through a bunch payments to obscure companies.

Why those don't appear on other transfers?

I kinda suspect they don't exist in other transfers. Perhaps because they might just be illegal.

Why they had to go through all this I don't know. They seem to have bought first choice back in 2011 and if he signed for any other club, Neymar and associates would have had to pay a huge penalty, which they were never going to pay. So Neymar Sr did some serious hustling.

Barcelona calls extraordinary meeting


Barcelona says its board of directors is calling an "extraordinary" meeting, fueling Spanish media reports that club president Sandro Rosell is under pressure to consider stepping down due to the lawsuit regarding Neymar's transfer.

Barcelona said in a statement that the meeting will take place on Thursday afternoon, a day after a judge agreed to hear a lawsuit brought by a Barcelona club member over the cost of Neymar's signing.

Barcelona said the meeting will deal with the Neymar case, but did not provide further details.

In the lawsuit, club member Jordi Cases alleges Rosell misappropriated funds by hiding the real cost of the transfer behind false contracts.

Rosell insisted earlier this week that the cost of 57 million euros (then $74 million) announced at Neymar's presentation was correct.

Spanish media speculate Rosell may resign to save the club's image ahead of what could be a lengthy legal battle.

The last Barcelona president to resign was Joan Gaspart in 2003 after a long run of poor results by the team.

Rosell was elected to replace outgoing president Joan Laporta in 2010. In April of last year, Rosell said he planned to run for a second term in 2016.

And Laporta will put them in so much in debt they will need to go into administration
