Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
As far as Genoa, we've always got more than fair prices for players. We bought part of Boateng's contract for like 2.5 million, then the other half for around 7 million... the player was under 10 million.
I think Genoa is always willing to work with us fairly and get us the right kind of deal.
And yes, I do think Ganso would succeed at Milan... and rather fairly quickly. He is the real deal. I've seen him play enough for Santos to know that. Even playing out of position he plays quite well. He's best as an CAM.
People keep saying 30 million. 30 million is just the base price. I think we can get him for 25 million because he is totally worth the price. We need to move sooner rather then later.

You all are going to disagree with me for this, but I think that since we signed El Shaarawy we won't be signing Ganso, and if we do it would be the next summer

No. I think you're absolutely incorrect. I think that El Shaarawy will play for the primavera... and I don't think he's ready for the first team. We can't expect him to do wonders. I think that signing we will make in August will be Ganso. Next summer? Not a chance. He'll be gone by then to another team. WE waste time, we won't get him.
Silvio needs a political boost... and Ganso will provide that. Especially with a run-off election in Milan.
And indeed, everything adds up. Why else would Galliani say we will sign a big player in August? Everything adds up. It's Ganso. Ganso is Mr. X. Not El Shaarawy. As much as I think Stephan is a potential talent, he's not the solution for our AMF position. We're not going to pass up a player like Ganso. He won't be there next summer to sign.

I never said El Shaarawy was Mr. X, he is the CAM signing, and Mr. X will be a classic center mid.

None, the deal for El Shaarawy is 5-7m (not confirmed yet) + 50% of Merkel.
Tbh Merkel is not worth more than 2m euro's... I don't know why people rate him so highly. He has made less than a handful of appearances for Milan and was not decisive in any games. Yes he was promising, but that is all. He was not a game breaker and had very little if any influence in all the games he played.
I hope he goes to Genoa and does very well and eventually earns a 1st XI spot so we can see if he is good enough for Milan and if he isn't at least we will get a lot more money for him than if we sold him outright to them now.
Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
From Italian papers:
Milan swoop there is the agreement with El Shaarawy
Genoa receive €6.5 million and half of Merkel. Watch out for Inter and City.
Milan’s hands on El Shaarawy
Genoa receive €6.8 million for half his rights.
Milan: El Shaarawy!
The rossoneri are closing in: they are negotiating to have the player right away. Cassano to leave. And Galliani: “Thiago Silva will stay here”.

DAVIDE ASTORI has what it takes to play at Milan, says Mauro Tassotti.
With Thiago Silva and Mario Yepes in Copa America, Philippe Mexes injured and Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Nicola Legrottaglie leaving, Milan will only have Daniele Bonera and Alessandro Nesta for pre-season.
So Milan are working to sign another central defender – Davide Astori. Milan have announced they will fight Cagliari for the remaining 50% of Astori (24) as they want to bring him back to Milanello.
Assistant Coach in the last ten years and legendary fullback Mauro Tassotti believes Astori is ready to return.
“I think that Aston is ready for Milan. He also plays the national team, so he’s a major player in the Italian league. He has already proven his value,” Tassotti told Milan Channel on Wednesday afternoon.

Thiago Silva: 'I'm happy at Milan'
Thiago Silva has point-blank refused he’s in talks with Barcelona. “I am very happy at Milan and don’t think they’re too far off Barça.”
The defender sparked controversy and front page headlines when he apparently told Brazilian television that he had spoken to the Blaugrana.
“The truth is that there has never been anything concrete between Barcelona and I,” he told Arena Sport cameras.
“I am very happy to be playing for Milan. If I wasn’t, then I would not have renewed my contract to June 2016.
“Barcelona are a side that everyone talks about, because they play spectacular football and are the champions of Europe.
“However, I don’t think Milan are too far off Barça.”
Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
Thiago Silva 'Barca words distorted'
Thiago Silva’s agent has reassured supporters “he is very happy at Milan and his words were distorted” regarding talks with Barcelona.
The fans were stunned when stories emerged from Brazil that he had told TV Esporte Interativo he was in negotiations with the Nou Camp side.
“I want to calm everyone straight away,” agent Paulo Tonietto told Calciomercatoweb and the official Milan website.
“His words were distorted and came from his answer to a question that was badly interpreted by the interviewer and newspapers.
“Thiago Silva is very happy at Milan and only recently renewed his contract. If he did not intend to respect it, he wouldn’t have renewed to 2016.
“Besides, at this moment he is probably the most expensive player in the world. There is absolutely nothing in this story.
“His only thoughts are for the Copa America this summer, then winning the Champions League with Milan. It won’t be easy, but it is an important objective for the whole team.”
Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
Merkel still hasn't reached an agreement with Genoa, so it looks like the deal might be delayed a bit.
Re: Mercato Rossonero: Milan Transfer Activity Inside Out
Menez's agent: "I keep reading about Milan, but the reality is that there isn't any deal. The priority is to talk to the new owners."
Tassotti: "I would advise Cassano to stay at Milan. He knows well what we think of him - that he's a champion."
Gazzetta reports that Milan are about to reach an OFFICIAL agreement for half of Stephan El-Shaarawy (€7m) co-ownership with Genoa.
Gazzetta also reports that Milan and Ganso are a done deal as well. Newspapers in Brazil backing up this claim as well.

Liking the sound of the Ganso deal being almost complete. We need him now, not next year or not in January..

To be honest, ganso doesn't look like a player who is going to flop. Even though we to do get him for 30mil+ it would still be a win win for milan. The truth is that it may take him a year to adapt but he would eventually be the golden boy of milan. Contrary to what others said, ganso's move will be our last signing for the season in the midfield and attack, then maybe astori.
These cassano rumour is making me feel nauseous. One gabbage website even stated that he would be included in as a makeweight in a deal for monty. Are they so mentally deranged to realise that he is worth the entire viola attack? The fact remains that he is our most talented attacker and will remain next season as our 1st choice trequartista

Then we will absolutely fail in Europe. I hate to say that. I don't even think we will be able to win the league again either.
El Shaarawy isn't the CAM signing. You have my word on that one. Mr X is Ganso. Why else would we wait until August? The timing. It's all about the timing.
We don't really need a "classic center mid". We have plenty of those. Any signing related to that would purely be excess.

We're not going to put it off. And if we wait until next year, we won't sign him at all. Our most significant priority is getting a CAM, and El Shaarawy is not the solution. He can be a promising talent, but he has a long way to go.

There is confirmation in Brazil that Ganso will come this summer shortly. DIS, who owns a majority of his contract, is pushing for his transfer to be accelerated. Milan remain the prime candidates for the player, as unlike Inter and Barcelona, we can guarantee him playing time.,

Milan are still interested in signing Kucka
http://www.milannews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=54912
He would come to Milan in 2012 but since we've sign El Shaaraway and Ganso is coming soon, not to mention the youth players Allegri wants to promote,
It would be hard to convince him to come to Milan when theres little space for him.
Moratti is apparently mooting a Kucka-Kharja swap deal

I don't think Kucka is Milan quality, in my opinion... but maybe I just haven't seen enough of him.

You guys do realize that El Shaarawy is not supposed to be a starter right? He will be Cassano's backup. Also, If we do get Ganso, he most likely will not play as a CAM. He is probably gonna play as LCM.

Playing Ganso as an LCM is a massive error. Even Brazilians have told me he doesn't fully utilize his abilities in that position, and playing out of position is one of the key reasons why he got injured recently.

I've never even seen him play in a full match and i'm not even Brazilian
but i KNOW
he's not as effective there
He can still be good there, but he won't be as effective if he were at AM
