Re: The Sopranos appreciation thread
Best series I have ever seen. In fact, I have saved the last part of the final season to a time in my life when I feel like I deserve it.
Every one I have recommended Sopranos to have not been able to stop watching it until the end, often ending up in Sopranos-marathons and being awestruck.
The dialogues, scenery, characters, music, EVERYTHING is perfect for a modern gangster family in New Jersey.
Paulie Walnuts is such a great stereotype
Tony Soprano, il capo dei capi!

I just started watching it, but so far I've really enjoyed it. Admittedly, I'm only 6 episodes into the first season. However, to me the best show ever will always be the West Wing. In the end it comes down to personal preference though and I can see so far why so many people rank the Sopranos so highly.

After Tony, Paulie is hands down my favourite character, the dude is hillarious, although Bobby Bacala comes close

Christopher and Paulie are the two best characters besides Tony imo. Awesome show.

If u like Italian culture and can have a laugh at the Italian-american stereotypes, Sopranos should cope with everything out there. Great mix of humour and drama. You will grow fond of the characters after a few seasons and completely fall in love, but I leave that to u

Re: The Sopranos appreciation thread
Watched it three times in the past 6 months. Hands down the best drama or anything I've ever watched.
James Gandolfini's performances are beyond words. Never seen such an incredible cast. Edie Falco was fantastic, it was just a mesmerizing series and I think it'll be timeless even if it only ended a decade ago.
Got my parents and as many friends as possible watching it. Need to spread it as much as possible to get them 'omg you were right' moments afterwards.

Three times in six months, what the hell MJ? lol
It is an incredible show, though, probably my all time favorite, too. I've watched it twice and want to give it a few more years before watching it the third time.

MJ is not exaggerating at all, it really was an incredible show.
The Pine Barrens episode is the pinnacle of dark comedy on TV imo.

The look on Paulie's face when he goes, "I lost my shoe" kills me

Re: The Sopranos appreciation thread
Have to say though, one of my absolute favorite moments in the show was the first season when Tony meets uncle Joon to tell him he wants him to be the next boss.
The intensity in that scene, the mistrust between them and the way it all melts away once Junior gets what he wants only for Tony to flip it on its head with his demands... Could go on for hours about why I got hooked on the show but that moment was when I knew it was definitely going to be a GOAT series.

I can't fucking wait for it.
Huge Sopranos fan but the director and his iffy record puts me off. Mf made Terminator Genysis
Either way should be an entertaining letter to fans regardless. Nice to see Gandolfini's own son playing him.
