Alexis Sanchez is a major flop

Every time i watch Barca games he sucks. and he is a diver too. what a flop.

Anyway i think Barca are more flops than Sanchez....

Fact is Sanchez has always been someone who was more of a playmaker winger/ss and enjoys having a free role and at Barca they have used him totally wrong.

Using him as someone to make runs for Messi in behind and across the defense is idiotic and finishing has always been garbage anyway.

Now he has lost all confidence, he's still a great player when he's used properly and im sure he will prove that again.

But it wont happen at Barca its just not the place for him, i thought he could adapt and i thought Barca would be more smart in how they use him but alas not.

Anyone who thinks he plain sucks and has no talent have not seen him for Chile and Udinese he just needs to leave and be apart from team which play to his strengths instead of trying to turn him into Pedro mk2.

I sometimes wonder if Barca even scout some of the players they seen because how they use some of them is just

At Udinese his job was to open up defenses for Di Natale ,like mole said like a playmaker SS.I'm sure he could do the same at Juve too when partnered upfront with Llorente.

There's no denying his talent at all,he has load of 'em.Just because he couldnt excel at Barca ,it doesnt make him a scrub.Pace,dribbling,vision he's got it all and if used properly he's going to be a monster.

Its quite amazing how bad players can look if they are misused, even Messi looked shite for Argentina for years because of it.

I hope he does go to a team that understand the type of player he is just so i can laugh at all the people who think he has no talent because Barca have misused him.

Seriously, he's not a goalscorer by any means, he's like a "joker" type player, like Lavezzi. Not the most impressive statistically but he does a lot, he just needs the ball at his feet and he doesn't have that luxury at Barcelona (for obvious reasons)

But for the price tag, he's most definitely a flop but I don't blame him as much as I do the system he plays in

sanchez has been terrible. But he's a very good player. Him and Di Natale were terrorising other teams all of the time. I don't understand why Barca don't buy forwards that play the way they want them to.

Look at Ibra and Villa ffs. And now sanchez. He'll leave Barca and end up ripping serie A up in a system he's good with. I'd take him but he needs to stop flinging himself to the floor like he's playing Call Of fkn Duty.

Cant really argue with most of whats been said here already.

However, some of the chances he has been missing (placed on a platter for him by messi, iniesta) is just inexcusable.

I know he isnt clinical, but someone of his tech ability should be putting those chances away.

We know he can do it, from his goal scoring exploits last year.

And its not like, he didnt now there was a playmaker by the name of Messi already in the squad, when he signed. Did he really expect Barca to change the way they play just for him ?

Agreed i think his terribad finishing is down to confidence really there is no real excuse for it....

Also i don't think he expected Barca to change i think he had enough faith in his ability to adapt unfortunately not the case.

This is true lol I sometimes wonder why they don't just get Tello to do that job. He's probably quicker than Sanchez and can actually finish lol

Blame Barcelona, not the player.

He wasn't a fit for Barcelona's playing style from the beginning. Some of us thought he was, some of us thought he would adapt after a season, and few of us thought he would flop. Turns out the latter were right.

His confidence is obviously low, his touch has been poor, he never was a good finisher and more importantly, he never was a tiki-taka player. He needs space and speed when attacking, two things antonym to Barcelona's slow build-up play and facing teams with 10 men behind the ball regularly. The only thing he does well at Barcelona is his runs and workrate. Otherwise, a gem gone to waste.

Because Barcelona was a dream for him? Why did Sahin go to Real or any other sort of player that moved to a big club with high hopes for themselves?

Barcelona is such a massive step up from Udinese... I mean like, why do you think he agreed to a contract? More money, more prestige, world class players... it's not like it was difficult for him

Sánchez is a good player. Everyone who's watched his pre-Barcelona matches knows this. Put some hot-topic player like Bale in the same situation in Barcelona, no doubt he'll flop similar to Alexis because he is not fit to play in a certain style (he won't screw up as many one-on-ones, I'll give you that).

Defines Sanchez atm, great workrate, defending, off the ball movement etc. but it's his first touch which fails him time and again. Had 3 great 1on1 possibilities against Granada, couldn't achieve a single shot.
