Sebastian Giovinco has been ruled out of this week’s international friendly between Italy and Holland.

The Juventus man reported to the Azzurri’s Coverciano training base this morning, but arrived with a thigh problem.

After being looked at by Italy’s medical team, the striker has been deemed unfit for Wednesday evening’s game.

Italy boss Cesare Prandelli is unlikely to call up a replacement for the former Parma man who is now in a race against time to face Fiorentina at the weekend.
