Re: David De Gea
You know what like Muppet said, if he do want to leave after all these, dont even show the decency to sign now and hence leave cheap, let it be. Let him go. Let him go to his hoy land. We can live with that. No one is bigger than the club itself.
I have faith in our scouts. Just like how they discovered DDG when no one barely knew him and turned him into a superstar they might have just found the replacement already.
Have faith in this kid to fill ddg's boots long term.
who cares if he have to play with valdes for a couple of seasons as no.1. We will be amping up our defense anyway this season. So an inferior keeper wouldnt cost us that much I hope. And after that the Serbian prodigy can take over after ample tutelage under Valdes.

Sorry for being pedantic but, he was well known as a potential best keeper in the world at the time we bought him. Won the Europa League the season before and won the Euro u21 with Spain. So he was involved in big games and was touted as the next best thing.
We were just fortunate that our comp were stacked and settled with great GK. Bayern, RM, Barca, Chelsea and City weren't looking.
It's just annoying that those pos from Madrid are going to get a wonderful player from us(again) and have the best keeper in the world for the next 10+ years. He's from Madrid, his GF wants to settle down there, he will takeover from Casillas and be the no.1 for country too, and will have better/quicker opportunity of winning the CL than us. They have such a great advantage, they don't even need a sales pitch.
It's like we developed him, stuck through his developing and growing pains phase, and developed him into this super human hybrid of PL and La Liga ready GK. And those fckers will reap the benefits as he enters his prime.

Re: David De Gea
You know if he do want to leave, nothing we can do. Now he will try to force it even more the coming window. LvG wont keep an unhappy player in the side. Its of utmost importance to him such things.
However regarding the negotiation with real, we suddenly have the upper hand. 50 m please.
They were trying to steal him for 25 m or something. The exact same money we got him for. Its like we are their frigging affiliated feeder club or something. Let a wonderkid to go on loan for 4 years. Let that team Develop him to a wc beast and we will snatch him for peanuts just like that.
Now this ban if realized will surely hit them at the spot where it will hurt at least.

Re: David De Gea
What a save! This guy is just too good for us to lose. I understand that once Madrid want him it is over, but whatever way possible we need to keep him for 2-3 years because he has been our best and most consistent player for the past two seasons. He's won us so many games I wouldn't care if Jorge makes us sign Bebe again, just throw a contract at him!!

It's funny that you write 'what a save' followed by the gif showing de Gea doesn't actually make a save so much as the guy shoots at his hand lol.

Well timing wise and how important it was is what I was mainly referring to. But it is good keeper tekkers in that it was great positioning, he made himself as big as possible and stayed in control. Neuer could learn a thing or two instead of getting chipped all over the place like that

Re: David De Gea
I've accepted he's off a few months ago.
We buy a quality/good keeper like Cech or Lloris, improve our defence with much needed quality players, and DDG wouldn't be such a big miss.
I have no grudge towards him whatsoever and will wish him all the best.

Re: David De Gea
Knew this was coming. I'm glad we got him and he has developed into a very complete player. Good luck to him of he goes to RM, it's the best and biggest club in history. As long as he stays professional if he does stay I have no issue with him.
van Gaal implied a few replacements have been highlighted. Hopefully we get a good player although I don't mid Valdes. If Valdes is in the form he was before he got injured at Barcelona, he will be the best GK in the leauge bar none.

I'm sorry for your loss, Red. I know you loved the kid.
The club should really have handled this differently. They should've left him appreciated and celebrated instead of dragging him through a game of posturing and throwing him under the bus with fans.

LVG and his dictatorial man management , but that's for another discussion.
I can understand why we decided to hold onto him and see if we can boost up the price (which we now did) or try and get one of their top outfield players (which we obviously failed to do), but we messed up, well LVG messed up by alienating Lindegaard, curbing Valdes (although he may be on the right there) and then getting in a scrub back up keeper like Romero to be our no.1 for the start of the season. Just piss poor planning.
Gonna suck seeing De Gea in a RM shirt What a great young keeper they're getting.

I think you should have either told him early on you're not selling him (pretty sure he'd given his all in his final year like a professional), or sell him earlier without the fuzz, with time to get a good replacement.
I suspect Woody was indeed trying to use him as a pawn to extort one, or any combination, of Varane/Ronaldo/Isco/Bale/Ramos/Pepe/Benzema from Real.
And then it's no wonder De Gea feels annyoed as this has nothing to do with his life, but everything with Woody's/Utd's unneccessary inferiority complex towards Real.
Keylor Navas is a great goalkeeper though, I'm sure.
I just wonder if he is what van Gaal wanted (surely van Gaal wanted Cillessen lol), so if you're unlucky Romero will continue to start until Navas subscribes to the philosophy.

Re: David De Gea
Strong rumours floating on Twitter that LVG was the one who stopped De Gea from signing a new contract, as he didn't rate him, and wanted Navas as his replacement last summer.
Judging how crazy LVG appears to be , those rumours don't seem far fetched.

Unless van gaal want to purposefully destroy United I dont think theres anything remotely true in those rumors. Its BS of the highest order from twatter.
