It's an incredible fact that Xavi is sitting 6th in the table of most chances created in World Cup history IMO, that's why.

I didn't expect him to be THAT high down the list considering that he's not just a final ball machine like, say, Özil but does a lot more midfield work which doesn't include "creating chances". No, I wouldn't have expected him to be in the top 6 at all.

But Messi played that game, I also think I saw Messi making most tackles in that game, including defenders, keeping Marcelo at bay and completely disrupting Madrid's attack, and Cronaldo having only 1 shot first time in La Liga's history.

Messi's slightly more important for Barca than Ronaldo is for Real Madrid. He makes their system work.

Real Madrid can win games with any decent forward. Not saying Ronaldo isn't important though.

In the mean time Real hammers Valladolid without Cronaldo and Barca without Messi looks completely out of it and loses to Bilbao. No surprises there.

Messi was badly missed today..
Neymar is not creating things out of nothing like we expected him to, which isn't as bad as it sounds because he has been a very good system player.. problem is we already have many system players we need magic.
