BeIN Sport report this evening that Newcastle boss Alan Pardew and his scouting team have targeted two players: St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa

-------------------

Roma appear to be edging even closer to striking a deal with Nancy left-back Massadio Haidara, even despite foreign competition.

The 20 year-old Frenchman has made public his desire to play in Italy, a predilection which could give the capital club a crucial edge over fellow suitors Newcastle in negotiations.

“I prefer Roma to Newcastle, as I prefer Serie A,” Haidara said to TMW.

“I’d love to play in Italy, though Newcastle are also a good team. I know that my agent has spoken to both clubs, we’ll see what happens.

“As far as I am concerned, I’d love to play in Italy.”

The France U-21 international is thought to be worth approximately €5 million. French football journalist Johann Crochet has claimed that Nancy’s willingness to sell is motivated by the need for a cash injection.

Yohan Modric wrote:Juventus are preparing a bid for Olympique Lyonnais striker Lisandro Lopez, according to reports in France.

Le Pogres understand that the Bianconeri could attempt to sign the 29-year-old for a fee of €8 million.

The Argentine has also been linked with Fiorentina, but it looks like the Scudetto holders will make the first move.

It’s believed that manager Antonio Conte wants someone to spearhead the attack given his side’s poor performances to start 2013.

Athletic Bilbao’s Fernando Llorente is another player that’s been pursued by the Old Lady, but may leave Spain at the end of his contract in June.

Good move if true,Lisandro Lopez would fit perfectly in that team.He is a goalscorer unlike Juves other options and he is mobile enough and technically gifted to come deep and link up play.Juves strikers must be able to do that because of the system they play.

QPR are poised to sign Loic Remy from Marseille and Yann M'Vila from Rennes, manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed.

Redknapp revealed on Tuesday night he expects to complete the signing of Remy in the next 24 hours and hopes to capture M'Vila in the next few days.

Remy had appeared to be on his way to Newcastle but Rangers have hijacked the deal and the France international underwent a medical at Loftus Road on Tuesday.

Redknapp watched M'Vila in action for Rennes against Bordeaux at the weekend and is set to bring the defensive midfielder to West London as he looks to turn Rangers' Premier League fortunes around.

Speaking after QPR's 1-0 FA Cup third round replay win at West Brom, Redknapp confirmed Remy had undergone a medical and said of M'Vila: "The deal looks OK."

QPR's head of media and communications Ian Taylor offered more confirmation on Tuesday evening, claiming the Remy deal could be wrapped up on Wednesday.

He said via Twitter: "Redknapp confirms arrivals are imminent at #QPR. Expects Remy to be done tomorrow and hopeful on M'Vila as well #QPR."

Beckham return to Milan?

There are extraordinary rumours circulating that Milan are in talks to bring David Beckham back to San Siro for the third time.

The England star has already played for the Rossoneri on loan from LA Galaxy from January to June 2009 and January to June 2010, taking advantage of the MLS close season.

Beckham has now finished his career in America, winning the MLS Cup 2012 in his final match for the Galaxy.

He may be 37 years old, but there are reports in Sport Mediaset that Milan are willing to make an exception on their policy of signing only young players.

The story is already gaining traction and bookmakers in England are taking bets on Becks making a Rossoneri comeback.

Would love to have Beckham at Milan tbh. Dem shirt sales Twisted Evil

Coloccini is probably leaving to Argentina because of his wife being very ill so it wouldn't surprise me if we spend big ( by our standards) on a CB.

I think thats where the Mbiwa links have started to shoot up from as well, the club realise it quite possible Colo might leave and we need to replace him with a high profile CB.

When we sell a high profile player we do usually replace them... Enrique for Santon, Barton for Cabaye, Carroll for Cisse and we tried to replace Ba with Remy and most of the other targets to replace Ba have been quite high profile.

Its when it comes to adding to the squad where the problem lies Laughing

We won't sign Ogbonna though, just posted it for shits and giggles.

Inter Milan contract rebel Wesley Sneijder wants a move to England.

Despite Inter accepting an offer from Galatasaray for his transfer, Sneijder is delaying any decision about moving to Istanbul.

Gazzetta dello Sport says a mooted summit involving Sneijder and his agent Soren Lerby never happened yesterday in Milan.

Liverpool have registered their interest, but unlike Gala, are yet to deliver a contract offer to Sneijder's camp.

--------------------

There's still to be a decision from David Beckham on his future following his departure from Los Angeles Galaxy but could a return to AC Milan be on the cards? According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are considering signing the midfielder for a third time following two previous loan spells at the San Siro.

------------------------

Newcastle United are set to move for Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis after missing out on Loic Remy.

The Magpies thought they had a deal for Remy all but done after Marseille accepted their bid for the 26-year-old, who indicated a real willingness to land at St. James’ Park.

But QPR muscled their way into the deal, Remy had a medical with the Rs yesterday, and the London club’s manager Harry Redknapp has declared the transfer "sorted".

Newcastle, who want to replace Demba Ba, are now looking at alternatives.

According to Lyon Capitale, an offer is expected to be made by the English side for Gomis in the next few days.

Lyon would like to keep hold of the 27-year-old but, with budgetary constraints due to financing a new stadium biting, are ready to sell the striker for the right price.

Gomis has also been tracked by Chelsea and Liverpool.

An alternative for Newcastle is Bordeaux hitman Yoan Gouffran, a player whose contract is set to expire in the summer.

Newcastle are known to have watched the 26-year-old, who has scored eight times in Ligue 1 so far this season, quite extensively.

@F8Piraux: Massadio Haidara : "No contact with Newcastle for the moment, but it's interesting for me. With many French players, it's more easy." #NUFC

@F8Piraux: Massadio Haidara: "I have a preference for England. This is the Championship that attracts me and he's the best for my playing style." #NUFC

Dat backtracking rofl

This is why i never listen to anything players say especially during the window because they change their tune at the drop of a hat.

As for Gomis he's not really what i want because it would lead to permanent hoofball but he would hold the ball up better than Ba and probably make hoofball effective.

Would prefer a pacy wing/forward type or a creative playmaker type to play behind Cisse but in the situation where are in beggars can't be choosers.

I prefer Gouffran to Gomis tbh. He doesn't have the talent around him like Gomis does yet he scores... he's more versatile. He would cost less too.

They're both pretty good Mole.... they are both better than Papis Cisse imo. The more i watch Cisse play, the more i see that he is incredibly limited. Because he's so limited, he needs perfect execution to be effective.

He is but he's a fantastic finisher who needs support, like any finisher tbh.

In our set up at the moment even Falcao would struggle.

Gomis would = operation hoof to Gomis which i don't want.

Gouffran fits the pacy-wide type but would be very underwhelming never the less.

Quite frankly i'd rather not get either but at the moment i'd take anyone as our 2nd choice striker is Shola f*cking Ameobi.

The agent of Napoli’s Juan Zuniga has revealed the wingback has interest from a number of teams across Europe, but he would be happy to stay in Naples.

With the arrival of Pablo Armero, Zungia’s future has been cast into doubt leading to links with the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona.

“Arsenal interested? We know very well that English and Spanish teams at the highest level are interested and are looking at Zuniga,” his agent Riccardo Calleri told Radio Crc.

“But I think it is normal, as is the case with [Edinson] Cavani, it also happens to my client.

“The Colombian is attractive to many teams because he is versatile, can play more advanced, more defensive and could be of great use to a lot of clubs.

“Zuniga has every intention of seeing out his contract with Napoli, but in football sometimes you go forward together, sometimes not. The important thing is a mutual willingness [to move forward together].”

--------------------

Seeking a defender, Newcastle, in addition to Twente 25 year old Douglas, are also keen on Montpellier 23 year old Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.

The prospects of Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar playing in the Premier League at some stage appear to have receded further after Die Welt reported that he wants to finish his playing career at former club Ajax.

Huntelaar recently signed a new contract to stay at Schalke until 2015 after being linked with the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham.

------------------------------

Chelsea and Reading could face disappointment in their reported pursuit of Iago Aspas following reports by Cadena ser Radio that Valencia have reached an initial agreement to sign the striker on a five-year deal in the summer and must now rustle up the funds to meet the €10m (£8.3m) release clause in his Celta Vigo contract.

----------------------------

Barcelona teenager Gerard Deulofeu has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League, but Sport reports that loan offers from clubs in England and La Liga have been rejected by Tito Vilanova's side.

Isco wants to stay in Spain if he can. Malaga would prefer not to sell him to a La Liga rival of course. But Isco has a 21 mil Euro release clause and it won't be up to Malaga if he chooses to leave.

Midfielder Yann M’Vila has been told he can make a name for himself in the Premier League by joining QPR and then secure a move to a big club.

Arsenal have been linked with the 22-year-old France international but did not make an offer to Rennes, who have been interested in selling him for some time.

But Loftus Road boss Harry Redknapp convinced M’Vila that joining Rangers would boost his chances of attracting attention from the Gunners and the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Redknapp explained: “I told him that he could come here and be a good player, and if he does well, in 18 months he could get a move to United, or Arsenal or Chelsea if that is what he’s looking for.

“In the meantime he can come here and we’ll put him on the stage and show what he can do.

“If we can build a team then hopefully he will stay with us. If not he will put himself on the stage for bigger things.”

Montpellier have yet to receive an approach from Tottenham for Younes Belhanda, but admit they would be open to an offer.

The Morocco international has been linked with a move to England for some time, with Arsenal also reported to hold an interest in the midfielder.

It was, however, looking increasingly likely that Belhanda would be on his way to Turkey once Fenerbahce entered the chase during the current transfer window.

No deal has been put in place, though, and Montpellier are still looking for a buyer.

They are prepared to move Belhanda on in order to bring in much-needed funds and club chairman Louis Nicollin admits he would be prepared to talk with Spurs were they to make a move.

"Tottenham's interest? There has been nothing official as yet, but I would like there to be," said Nicollin in L'Equipe.

"If a good offer arrives, he will leave. We can live without him and he can live without us."

On discussions with Fenerbahce, he added: "Nothing has evolved. They wanted to pay us in three instalments. They can keep their money."
