Best XI Current Managers (based on their playing days)
No Maradona, Pep, Zico because they are not managing AT THE MOMENT. Only managers who are at work now:
Some examples:
Michael Laudrup
Diego Simeone
Roberto Mancini
Franco Zola
Marco Van Basten
Antonio Conte
Steve Clarke
Steve Bruce
Chris Hughton
Roberto Donadoni
Gus Poyet
etc
I can't think of a goalkeeper, I'll make my own XI later on. Feel free to add to this list

Nigel Adkins (Southampton) was a goalkeeper.
Hard topic, I have hardly seen any of the current managers during their playing careers. Maybe I'll do an XI for fun a bit later anyway.

Hm. There are lots of German strikers who went into coaching - Jürgen Klinsmann, Rudi Völler, Jupp Heynckes... And i think you probably could set up at least two Bayern teams with coaches as loads of former Bayern players got their coaching license after the active playing time.

Conte has to be there... 14 yrs in Juve, many championships won as a player, he appeared in 3 UCL finals, and now is a successful manager..

Do GK coaches count, too? Then there are quite some active who were renowned players, too (at least in Germany) - for ex Andy Köpke

Paul Lambert, Eric Gerets, Frank De Boer, and Panucci/Bergkamp/Kluivert (assistant coaches so I though they should get a shout as well).
