sneijder doesnt score and assist more goals than messi. in the world cup yeah he did, but normally he doesn't. and yeah i was expecting sneijder or xavi to get it. maybe sneijder didnt because he played in teams that played anti-football and xavi dunno really. messi probably just got it becasue he's messi. despite only winning just la liga he still had a great year. he lots of goals and assists and showed us his amazing skills. still remained the best player in the world in 2010. his wc performance wasn't that bad, everyone was just expecting much more. you just got to think of it as is sneijder and xavi a better player than messi, obivously no. messi still was the european golden boot winner and highest champions league goal scorer.

La Liga and Supercopa, won WC and his passing statistics showed how important he was for the NT

Messi doesn't deserve it. Balon d'Or goes by who was the best that season and Sneijder was clearly better than Iniesta and Messi that season. He was important in winning CL with his club and he was VERY important for the netherlands to get to the final.

I'd have accepted it if Xavi got it, but Messi did it and wtf why did Iniesta even get nominated rofl

there's more them just them 3 and yeah iniesta shouldn't have been in the top 3 since he was injured half the season.

but there's also:

forlan - golden ball winner, lots of goals with atletico, europa league winner (scored two goals in final and goal that knocked liverpool out in the semis), cope del ray finalist

muller- great season with bayern, golden boot and best young player at wc

david villa - good season scored lots of goals with valencia, carried spain a lot of the time in wc as they played pretty bad for their standard

robben - great season with bayern, carried them in cl (more than sneijder carried inter), holland's second most imporant player at wc

milito - best forward in europe in 2010, nearly won everything at club level (wasnt even top 23 candidate which was bs)

i wanted xavi or sneijder to win. i'm just trying to find reasons why messi had won it.
