As for giving the award to Lewand to make up for last yr just doesnt make sense. Wouldnt it simply mean that this yrs best player than is unfairly discounted? Or then each after onwards the award should be counting the yr b4 instead of the current one to make up for this back-award to Lewand?

It is just bad luck for Lewand, and this yrs award should just be as it is normally, unless for this yrs award ONLY they count the past TWO yrs performances TOGETHER when voting, I guess that could also be fair but I doubt it.

Lewand has kept a great level but prolly not as great as last yr, n so when u compare it with what Messis done, they are close, n especially if its just counting last yr it should be Messi.

Yes, giving 2021 Lewa for 2020 makes zero sense. It's like moving the bad luck not getting it for Messi 2021. And you will see that Messi haters want this to happen. Lewa does deserve it for 2020 and Messi 2021, that's the fair assesment.

Just LOL if Messi wins it when there is Lewandowski. If your best achievement of the year is winning a terrible level of football level in Copa America and then of course the flop he is so far for Paris then hand it to someone else.

He also won Golden Shoe and was CL top scorer. So why they gave it to Modric who had only 5 goals in that season? Maybe because he won a big trophy?

Now this season messi also won a big trophy. He scored 40 more than Modric and made 15 assists too. Was la liga top scorer and top assister. And was best player in Copa america, top assister and top scorer too. Won Copa del rey and was best player there too. He was the MOTM 28 times, twice more than lewandowski.

Happy man, im talking about 2018 season. If you go by stats then its a normal day in the office for messi to get 50-60 goals and assists. But if another player (lewa) does it it becomes ballon dor worthy? Not only that, people act like if lewa doesnt win it the world will end.they hate messi and cheer for lewa. Stupid logic

Cant wait... so much noise n so called leaked news Messi has won already? Odds hes leading Lewand, but not very huge amount, Benzema n Salah odds are similar at 3rd n 4th. Basically it should be Messi, Lewand would be a shock n meaning the awards also counts the previous yr. Anyone else would be really weird.
