Champion of the year?

So the year is almost up. Who was the best champion of 2012?

Real Madrid beat out Barca by 9 pts to win the league for the 32nd time , and broke numerous records along the way. They reached 100 pts and broke the record for most goals in a season.

Juventus topped Serie A.Not many expected this, since last season they had finished 7th. Juve won the title thanks to their impecable defense and hardworking mid.

Borussia Dortmund won the Bundesliga. Can't say much since I don't watch Bundes, but I'm sure someone can make a case for them.

Manchester City was crowned champion of the EPL for the first time in 44yrs. They beat out Fergie's United in dramatic fashion on the last match day.

Spain won yet another trophy in the Euro. I didn't expect them to this, since they had suffered severl injuries that I thought would be crucial, but in the end Spain breezed by the competition and beat Italy in the final.

Chelsea won the Champions League by going through Bayen, Barca, Benfica, Napoli and others.

Atletico Madrid punked Bilbao in the Europa League final.

Corinthians won the Liberatadores and CWC. Not a fan of their style, but they definently deserved their titles.

Mexico's Olympic team meet Brazil in the final and won gold.

Arsenal finished 3rd in the 2011/2012 season. "4th place is like a trophy", so I guess they won 2 trophies idk

Won the league,DFB Pokal and literally dominated their Champions League Group of death.

So they get my vote in the end..

Oh I don't disagree at all. Out of Cataracho's recommendation I followed as much as I could for Corinthians and don't regret it at all. Voting for them even if they weren't victorious in their wonderful CWC campaign is well and truly justified.

I voted for Juventus. Unbeaten in the league last season and have been really good in the CL this season.

Borussia Dortmund a close second.

Voted for Juventus, the unbeaten streak was just too much to ignore. plus they won 2 trophies and got to the final of another. many more reasons to add too.

Second is BVB or mexico imo.

Spain because winning 3 major trophies in a row. Winning the euros 2nd time running is just insane. Beating Italy in the final the way they did was just amazing. They get my vote.

Well, BVB won the domestic double (BL+DFB-Pokal) and topped their CL Group of Death.

BVB for the double, topping the group of death, and destroying Bayern on the route to both trophies in the double.

i voted the same way for the same reasons.

BVB or Spain. Simply because they topped the group of death and defeated Bayern to win the Bundesliga and German Cup. As for Spain, they won the Euros in which they didn't look a world class side till the final. Shows the quality.

None of those teams have ever won the 3rd place trophy tbf

juve. i said before that a huge part of why they had that great season was because they had no other competitions to play in, but this season they do and they're doing just as well so they deserve credit

It's between Corinthians and Juventus. Corinthians edge it because they won the Libertadores and the CWC, so basically the perfect year for a south american team, but I rate Juve's achievements highly.

Nope. Only Germany came close between 1972 and 1976 - but they only got 2nd in the '76 Euros.
