Juve-Drogba 18-month deal

Italian papers claim Juventus are a step closer to securing Didier Drogba in January on an 18-month contract.

The Shanghai Shenhua striker is currently training with his former Chelsea teammates, as the Chinese season has already ended.

The Bianconeri have made no secret of their interest in the Ivory Coast international and Tuttosport insists they are closer than ever to a transfer.

Drogba had requested a two-and-a-half-year contract and Juve originally sought a six-month loan, but it seems they have reached an agreement for an 18-month deal instead.

The wages are still being discussed, as Juventus propose €4m per season – 60 per cent less than he currently earns in China.

It is reported they will make up the short-fall with a huge bonus for reaching the Champions League Final.
