I'm not worried - yet! - as I imagine Arsenal well end up putting a few in the back of the net still. But it's remarkable how poor the team's form is, there are are just so many players, good players, who seem incapable of stringing together the basics. THE BASICS. A cross? A simple pass in the opponents' third? Retaining possesion, which was just a couple years ago one of the few things Gooners could rely upon? Every team concedes set piece goals on occasion, but of all CL-caliber teams in top leagues, only Arsenal so predictably give away goals time after time after time. Mind-boggling.

How do you get this Arsenal squad to quake in its boots? Just press them when they have the ball, and be decent at set pieces. This seems to completely dismantle Arsenal, like deer in headlights ... even the best players up against clearly inferior opponents. This is why new signings alone won't make the difference: it comes down to a culture, a pervasive and undesirable mindset, that needs to be eradicated and replaced with some grit and some swagger.

So true. I think there is a strong case to be made that Podolski and especially Walcott wouldn't work in this squad as the lone striker, but I can't at all see the case for why Gervinho should get so many chances in this role when the other two barely get a peep there.

And long-term I am still a believer in Ramsey, but playing him on the wing doesn't serve the team and it doesn't seem to be serving him either.

What does this tell you? if you have a right Manager anything is possible.

I have a feeling Vermaelen and Carzola will get kick out of their NT team soon.

1. Ramsey is wasted on the wings. Arsene should decide what is the best position for him, and stick him there and let him improve there. Moving him all around isn't going to help his development one bit - he is not experienced like Rosicky.

2. I can understand why Gervais gets preference over Theo or Podolski up front - Movement. He has good movement. But that is about all he has. Both Theo and Podolski have other attributes which makes them much better candidates there. This should not be a problem after January. Going into the season with only one striker (I mean Giroud) was always a mistake.
