Guys, don't you freakin notice something? The fact that BOTH ZAZA and IMMOBILE played as starters in the NT means that Conte really liked them and wanted them at Juve but Marrrota refused.... What do you think!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Italy don't have Llorente and Tevez to pick from lmao

This was about giving other players a chance

Thing is, we're 2 years away from the Euros and 4 away from the next World Cup

Friendlies that are so far away from International tournaments should be a chance to give lesser known players/youngsters a run in, providing they're not obviously crap.

Italy need to give youth a chance, Conte knows this. So expect to see some more of these players in friendlies, and if they can do enough they'll even play in some qualifiers.

The striker situation in Italy is really bad right now. Outside of Pogba, I don't feel like Conte really gave our own young players much of a chance, especially not our youth players.

Simone Zaza’s impressive Italy debut prompts Juventus to plan his future with Sassuolo teammate Domenico Berardi.

Juve own at least 50 per cent of several home-grown talents currently out on loan around Italy, but were criticised for letting Ciro Immobile go to Borussia Dortmund.

The Bianconeri sold their half of the striker to Torino, who then completed his transfer to the Bundesliga after winning the Capocannoniere title.

Zaza and Berardi are both hitting headlines this week for the senior and Under-21 Italy sides.

They play for Sassuolo, but Juventus have the options to buy them back at already-agreed terms.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, the Turin giants are determined not to let Zaza get away.

They have an option to buy him in 2015 for €15m, but that sum rises to €18m in 2016 – effectively this would only be a cost of €4m considering how much Sassuolo are paying to use the striker.
