Re: January Transfer Rumours
No big team really needs Sneijder and the rest can't afford his wages.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
If you still consider us big, then we need him. We might have many mids but we are still missing that much needed quality AM, unless of course Rodgers moves Suso there.
Although I don't want Sneijder anywhere near Anfield.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
According to latest rumours, Juventus management have targeted Belgian international centre-back Nicolas Lombaerts (27). The player, currently on a deal with Zenit Saint Petersbourg until June 2014, is esteemed around 10 million euros, price likely to be considered too high by Italian club.

Liverpool Football Club are apparently linked with Son Heung-Min, a 20 year old attacker from Hamburger SV. As always, Brendan Rodgers and our management is going for second best.

Someone who would provide an immediate impact. Obviously there is no chance that a club like us could acquire a player such as Mario Götze, but someone who has playmaking skills like him would be a brilliant transfer. Looking at Son Heung-Min's Kicker ratings, he looks like an average footballer who has the ability to get better with age. A poor passer, and a poor creative player. Even Suso would be better as an attacking midfielder.

Is he any good? He would obviously start ahead of Steven Gerrard in an ideal world, playing in a midfield tree alongside Lucas Leiva, Nuri Sahin, or Joseph Allen.
Is he adept at playing a winger role?

for me , he is one of Schalkes best players. But not really a winger, more a AM/CM

Son would be a good pickup for Pool honestly.
Good player, him. Holtby would be much better though.

No way Neal, I'm so tired of average scrubs. Sing nobody if we aren't going to sign someone decent.

Ehh Don't let HSV's propensity for scrubbery block any judgement of Son. He's a real talent from what I've seen of him. That said, it all depends on how Rodgers would use him. Though ultimately, I don't Pool will need him with Borini coming back. Still think he wouldn't be that bad a pickup.
As for Holtby, he's bound for the PL. Arsenal are pretty stacked in midfield so I don't see him going there, which leaves Pool, but with Rodgers' mismanagement of Sahin, I do worry a bit for Holtby if he goes there.

According to l'Equipe, PSG is going to buy the 21 year old CB Isimat-Mirin of Valenciennes and leave him on loan until the summer.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
Lewis Holtby officially stated he won't extend his contract at Schalke, thus he will be a free agent in Summer 2013.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
Holtby for free in the summer
Could turn out to be one of the best deals of the summer window, if not the best, when you don't have to pay for him.
Or maybe he'll go in January for a few million, we'll see.

Re: January Transfer Rumours
From the Schalke website, it sounds as if they plan with him till summer, so it is highly unlikely that he'd leave in January.

Clubs can start offering Holtby pre-contracts now, then.
Somebody's going to be picking up a very good bargain.

Schalke should try to make Afellay permanent. Then they would still have a sick attack:

--Huntelaar--

Jovetic in an interview to Corriere Dello Sport :
"I want to win something with Fiorentina. In June we'll see. There will be time to talk about it.But if i change teams i would like to stay in Italy.I like the league, know the country, the customs and the language.Italian football is tactical & difficult. This is a true test. The hardest. If you can play here, you can play anywhere"

According to Tuttosport, Paris Saint-Germain, are observing again the player of Juventus, Stephan Lichtsteiner. The Italian club wants 10 million euros to let him leave, while Ancelotti is disposed to offer 7-8.
