Top 20 Greatest of All Time players

This may push the boundaries for some but mostly for those who have watched football for a long peroid of time, the top 20 greatest of all time players, past to present.
This was a list from an analyst of the game that I know:
1. Pele
2. Maradona
3. Cruyff
4. Di Stefano
5. Beckenbeaur
6. Platini
7. Garrincha
8. Messi
9. Zidane
10. Puskas
11. Meazza
12. Baresi
13. Eusebio
14. Didi
15. Best
16. Carlos Alberto
17. Ronaldo
18. Neeskens
19. Muller
20. Van Basten

Maldini needs to be in there, above Baresi too.

Personally, it is way to difficult to order them so I will not try.

Baggio, Scirea, and Maldini should all be there. Baggio definitely above Baresi too. Baggios well known to Italians to be the best italian player of all time. He should be in the Top 5-7. Mullet should also be wayyyyyy higher. I think Matthaus also probably deserves to be there.

I will be honest.......I haven't actually watched Zidane but can't help thinking Ronaldo should be better than him.

Greatest =/= best. These lists are contrived. Stupid pointless debates. How do you compare Maradona to Di Stefano in greatness? Di Stefano won more than Maradona would ever have dreamed of. This all time lists are just laughable.

There are so many greats players, really hard to make a top 20.

Add Messi take out Rivera and that's basically it to update it to the 21st century. Maybe a few other small modifications, Meazza sounds like a name that should be there for instance as the best Italian of all time, but it's all highly subjective and not worth fighting about. Perhaps Yashin as well for some GK appreciation.

When was that list made? Cuz its pretty terrible in my opinion.

A pretty good list. Maybe Baggio and definately Messi but a good list!

no way Neeskens or Carlos Alberto be anywhere 20 greatest ever list.

Carlos Alberto isnt even the greatest Brazilian RB let alone a top 20 of all time. Neeskens is a wtf inclusion. And any top 10 list without Zico is meh, and here we have a top 20 list without him.
Ranking will always be disputed for example Meazza is ranked too high here. Defo the greatest(not best) Italian attacker but if he is there so should be Moreno another pre war great, whose La Maquaina(River Plate of that time) played a fluid total football attacking game way before Dutch's Clockwatch Orange, many Argentines from that time called him better than Di Stefano.
Maldini deserves to be there due to his consistent brilliance and so Matthaus. And Bobby Charlton should be there as well, greatest ever English player, everything to be won there.
Good list but some weird choices or rank placement. Muller too is underanked as well. He was the man whose goals brought both his club and his country great success. It is even said that Bayern Munich what it is today is because of him.

Its too hard to put in an exact order but these are the best ones I`ve seen footage of, I know I`m going to miss someone out but that`s the way it goes.....

I dont think Zidane is above Ronaldo. Well, I can see the arguement why he is...he beats him when you talk about length of time performing at peak. Ronaldo peak was only like 4 years at most.

However, Zidane himself thinks Ronaldo is better.

Yeah but you got Ronaldo twice. Even if its the second one, I assume it is, you have him above Messi, Van Bastan and Eusiabo..which is utterly laughable.

Ronaldo says likewise about Zidane, they are friends, they are just being humble, they both say each other is the best they`ve ever played with.

Most of their Madrid team mates choose Zidane as the best, they are different types of player though that cannot do what each other does best, Zidane separates himself from Ronaldo though by achieving more in his career, playing at the top level for longer and outperforming R9 more often than not both in the same team AND playing vs each other in the biggest of games.

In all honesty, Ronaldo`s case to be ahead of Zidane is extremely weak, Zidane was the best player of that generation, no doubt at all.

I think people dont really appreciate forwards here..

Oftenly they get overshadowed by defenders or midfielders which is a disgraceful.
