Torres has player power because Abramovich will stop at nothing to cover up the fact he made possibly the biggest transfer flop of all time along with Wenger not buying Ibra for 3M because he wanted to give him a trial instead. He does not want to be proven wrong and is determined to have Torres do well.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the player they bought instead for £8M was a complte flop in his own right which makes it a horrible decision. Can never remember his name though.

And paying one of the biggest transfer fees of all time for a striker who has the goalscoring ratio of 1 in 6 or 7 is a horrible flop. It only seems less of a flop because Uncle Roman is a billionnaire.

I really don't get why they sacked him. Just because the team loses/draws some games doesn't mean the manager has to get sacked.

Di Matteo won Chelsea the CL and FA Cup last season...

They still have a chance of going through in the CL and can still compete for the title.

I mean if Di Matteo didn't take Chelsea through to the last 16, then yeh, there's a reason for him to get sacked then.

i don't think Abramovich was necessarily impressed by the way chelsea won the champions league, he wants his team to play entertaining football. chelsea parked the bus to the title, I think he knows this and wasn't impressed. really didn't have any merit in his decision as crazy as that seems. but roman is no normal man
