Re: iniesta skill
Is there a video of where Iniesta thought the ball would go out and it didn't? It was vs Zaragoza last Saturday.

Re: iniesta skill
Nope.
He uses both feet, has nice moves and makes it look very nice because of his style but Messi is quicker, more explosive and sells the change direction too well.
Iniesta does moves like these where you really impressed and it looks really classy, Messi doesnt have that style, but he beats people easier and more often.

Re: iniesta skill
That was incredible. Then again, it was as useful as passing the ball back from first second. Iniesta's only problem, his effectiveness.

I do belive that Messi might edge it in short spaces but im not sure if explosiveness and quickness really does make alot of difference when someone has a little space, maybe quickness...

I think it does, if your crowded, all it takes is a little bit of space and you can explode out of it and leave the crowd. Without that, its harder to escape.
If Messi was in Iniesta's position, he would of probably ended up in the box rather than not really going anywhere productive.

Nothing wrong with being even in the same ballpark as Zidane. Zidane and Iniesta were and are magnificent players.

What did thta achieve? He could have passed the ball earlier. He just did a trick and passed back. This iniesta hype has to be killed.

Difference between appreciation and hype.
I'm appreciating the asthetics of his process, not evaluating how effective he is as a player.

Jibs forget it lol....
If Zidane's hype never died down despite being more artistic than effective then it's quite obvious Iniesta never will either.
Why you think Riquelme was wanked over too?

Re: iniesta skill
Not what i'm saying brah.... i'm saying that the likes of Iniesta are not as effective as they are artistic and people like artists.
And no matter how much people might prefer effectiveness to artistry at the end of the day artistry will always be hyped over effectiveness.
Then you have players like Messi who combine both.

Re: iniesta skill
I dont see whats wrong with appreciating the skill like Le Sam is.
Noone was talking about it being super effective and resulted in anything. But football is supposed to be entertainment and that was pretty entertaining if you look it at in a bubble.
I dont see how its "Iniesta hype" because of this.
I dislike players getting hyped based on how good they look, but I equally dont like people brushing aside things which look good because the end result isnt a goal or an assist.
And to be honest, what Iniesta did was effective. If you look at the whole play, we was pressing them and we won the ball. However, we won it and was surrounded by players with no options. Iniesta drove out of the traffic, thought about going to goal, couldnt, and then went back and kept possession.
Lesser players end result would of been lost possession, in fact 99% of players it would of been lost possesion. Just because he isnt Messi and couldnt get to goal doesnt mean it wasnt effective.
Also Riquelme for a couple years was both fantastic to watch and effective.

Re: iniesta skill
I don't even understand why people doesn't appreciate such skill.
Effectiveness my ass, he just bamboozled a defender ffs. Maybe we should just portray Ronaldinho as a clown now since his flicks is as effective as a short pass.
Jesus Christ.

Re: iniesta skill
Jibbers just upset Iniesta got that award or whatever. Which I dont really understand.
We all already know the award has no real merit, Iniesta himself will tell you he isnt the best in Europe. Basically, nobody really cares that much about it...other than people who complain about it.

Nah man.
Grafite's goal against Bayern is shit since he could've just placed the ball forward instead of a back heel since it seems more effective.
Purists lol.
